the release of version 1.0.2 of BugLink, a free upgrade for existing
customers.
What is BugLink?
BugLink is a bug tracking system for both the Macintosh and Microsoft
Windows 95/NT. BugLink consists of a central bug database and server
application, and clients which allow software developers and testers
download the bugs they are interested in.
What's New In This Release
This update, which is free for all existing customers, fixes a number of
problems, including a potentially fatal memory leak in the BugLink Client
application. This release also fixes a few user interface glitches and a
printing problem which causes the wrong date to show up on reports.
A problem with the Server has also been fixed which can, under rare
circumstances, cause the bug tracking database to become corrupted.

The new "folder actions" feature in Mac Os 8.5 is shaping up to be very
popular. In case you're planning an article or sidebar on folder actions, I
wanted to be sure to get in a plug for my new shareware product, "Folder
Action Setup." It is a control panel application which lets you manage your
folder action scripts in a window, where you can see what you're doing --
Apple is only providing a contextual menu interface for folder actions,
which is awkward to use.

Active Concepts today released version 2.0.3 of Funnel Web and Funnel Web
Professional for Mac and Windows. This version is primarily a maintenance
release which significantly improves stability and performance and is MacOS
8.5 compliant. A number of small memory leaks have been removed and small
number of feature additions as detailed below. This update marks the last
maintenance release until version 2.1 feature additions towards the end of
September.

Inc. this afternoon. The security hole exposes a security problem which
allows any Lasso 2.x served database information to be available as "read
only" via Java-based communication. A Lasso customer was able to view
fields and data not intended for viewing in a Lasso-powered FileMaker
database using Symantec's Visual Cafe for Java Database Edition.
