Editorial Calendar

MacTech Magazine remains on the cutting-edge of technology. As a result, we do not pre-publish a calendar of editorial content for each issue. Typically, an editorial calendar is asked for by a PR firm trying to tie into our editorial coverage. Since this publication works different from most -- this isn't necessary.

Press releases should simply be sent to us using this form -- as that is where all of MacTech's news is solely picked up from. In addition, MacTech is the source of technical news for many other news outlets ... ranging from Apple to a wide variety of Mac web sites and publications, to even CNN and MSNBC.

If you are trying to determine whether MacTech is an appropriate target for your product, look at the readership. Here you'll find the most knowledgeable and technical audience, with the highest purchasing influence and decision making responsibilities anywhere in the market. For more information, contact us at adsales@mactech.com, or 805-494-9797.

About dates and deadlines...

MacTech Magazine is a journal focused on highly technical aspects of the Macintosh related topics. Because of the technical depth of the subject matter articles usually take as much as 45 days to prepare. Our production, printing, and distribution groups take 6-8 weeks to bring an issue to the reader. Please be aware of these limitations in planning for our upcoming issues.

  • Advertising close is the last day to contact us regarding placement of an ad in the indicated issue of MacTech. Contact our Advertising department at adsales@mactech.com to confirm these dates as the deadlines approach.

  • Independent authors are encouraged to submit articles to MacTech. Be sure to review our submission guidelines before beginning to write an article. Note the submissions close is the last day an article submitted may be able to run in the current issue. MacTech cannot guarantee when any article will run, but the sooner it is submitted, the better its chances for being reviewed in time for the next available opening issue.

For a variety of reasons all these dates may change dramatically and without warning. You are strongly encouraged to contact us well in advance of these dates to insure proper consideration.

About contacting MacTech departments...
The staff of MacTech receives a great deal of electronic mail and phone calls. To help us better organize the information coming in, please contact us by the following methods. Please only send an email to one of the address as sending to multiple address simply delays and confuses things.

Public relations professionals interested in promoting awareness of their products should contact our advertising department at adsales@mactech.com.

Press releases should be sent to, and only to, our news department using this form or via the direct email address. These press releases will be circulated through the entire company and may be redistributed through other industry channels. Press releases sent to other departments will not receive the same exposure.

Individuals interested in suggesting topics or article ideas should contact our editorial department using this form .

Authors submitting articles should submit completed articles via our authors web site at http://authors.mactech.com and are encouraged to review our writers kit and guidelines and contact us before they begin writing to discuss these ideas.
