Akvis AirBrush update for Mac OS X adds new Share option
Akvis has released Akvis AirBrush 2.5, available as a standalone program and as a plug-in for graphics editors. Available for Mac OS X and Windows, the software turns photos into airbrush paintings.
Version 2.5 adds a Share option that lets you post your images from the program to the social networks and services such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, Google+, and Dropbox. It also enlarged the maximum size of the Quick Preview area which helps to adjust the parameters of the effect. Apple has announced a record number of first day pre-orders of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, with over four million in the first 24 hours.
Demand for the new iPhones exceeds the initial pre-order supply. While a significant amount will be delivered to customers beginning on Friday and throughout September, many iPhone pre-orders are scheduled to be delivered in October. Additional supply of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to walk-in customers on Friday, Sept. 19 at 8 a.m. local time at Apple retail stores.
Customers are encouraged to arrive early or order online from the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com) to pickup in-store or receive an estimated delivery date. Image Viewer for Mac OS X revved to version 1.8
Abacus has released Image Viewer 1.8, an upgrade of the Mac OS X app for viewing images and photos for an entire library.
Users can open a file and then view all image files in that folder by clicking the mouse or pressing the keyboard. Version 1.8 fixes a sandbox error that made it difficult for some users to delete images.

'I know countries' 1.3 leverages Apple Maps
Grapevine-cottage has given us "I know countries" 1.3 for Mac OS X. The app leverages full Apple Maps support to provide a user experience while navigating.
The map responds to a mouse click and highlights country boundaries and area, drops a pin at the capital location and shows a callout with flag, while speaking the country name and capital name.
The app supports all map types standard, satellite and hybrid, as well as the standard map navigation features for apps, including 3D mode at applicable map and zoom levels. All map details are available to the user, supporting direct drilldown to city street level.
"I know countries" requires Mac OS X 10.9 or higher. It's available for US$1.99 at the Mac App Store.
Pagico for Desktop for OS X revved to version 6.8
NOTES17 has launched Pagico for Desktop 6.8 (http://www.pagico.com/), an update to their information and task manager app for Mac OS X. MOGA has unveiled its MOGA Rebel, a full-sized, console-style, premium game controller for iPhone, iPad, iPad air, iPad mini and iPod touch (5th generation) running iOS 7 or 8. It will be available in Apple stores in North America on Sept. 17 for US$79.99.
MOGA Rebel combines the best features of a tablet game controller with the added ability to use it portably with the iPhone or iPod touch, according to the folks at MOGA. Apple, Universal Music Group and rock band U2 has announced the release of the album, "Songs of Innocence," which Apple is gifting to iTunes Store customers around the world, making it the largest album release ever with over half a billion copies distributed.

Apple has announced iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, featuring two new models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays.
The new smartphones feature a precision unibody enclosure of anodized aluminum that conforms with the shaped glass of the display. When GroupsPro is initially launched, it auto-populates the user's existing contacts into the interface. Users can add or modify existing contacts. There are two options to assign contacts into specific groups. With Single Assigning, users assign a single contact to groups. With Fast Assigning, users assign contacts directly in the contacts list to a group.
What's more, all currently existing contacts in the list can be assigned by clicking on mass update button. Users can also search for names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, postal addresses, departments, and notes within all contacts.
