EditShare ships two new models for creating media back-ups,
EditShare (http://www.editshare.com) has released two new EditShare Ark models for creating media backups and archives; Ark Tape and Ark Disk. They're workflow engineered to automate file migration to and from the EditShare shared storage solutions. Because Ark solutions automatically communicate with EditShare shared storage solutions, media spaces, project spaces and other important data structures are exchanged between systems. In the event of a system failure, EditShare Ark Disk can be configured to operate as an EditShare shared storage system. EditShare Ark allows EditShare users to safety backups during the editing process, move media to lower-cost storage when a project must be put on hold or while it awaits approval, and create long-term archiving of entire projects or selected media spaces. The EditShare Ark Disk systems have the option of being activated in an emergency as a "lower-bandwidth EditShare server" to minimize downtime.

Scosche releases kickBACK n5 case for fifth gen iPod nano
Scosche Industries (http://www.scosche.com) has announced the new kickBACK n5 case for the new, fifth generation iPod nano. The kickBACK n5 is a polycarbonate and rubber hybrid cases with an open face design that includes a clear screen protector. The new case features a provision for the video camera that was recently added to the nano. RapidWeaver ready for Snow Leopard
Realmac Software (http://www.realmacsoftware.com) has updated RapidWeaver, its web site creation application for Mac OS X, to version 4.3. It adds Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard") compatibility. RapidWeaver 4.3 is a free upgrade for registered users of RapidWeaver 3.6 and higher. A new license is US$79. Users of RapidWeaver 3.5 or earlier can upgrade for $30. Zevrix updates LinkOptimizer for InDesign, adds Snow Leopard
Zevrix Solutions (http://zevrix.com) has released version 4.1 of LinkOptimizer, an upgrade to the workflow automation solution to optimize InDesign jobs. The new version introduces compatibility with Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard") and addresses several performance and stability issues related to InDesign clipping paths, link status and international system support.
