Intego updates all its products for Snow Leopard
Intego (http://www.intego.com), the Macintosh security specialist, has announced that all of its software is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard"), which will be released on Aug. 28. The following versions of Intego's programs -- single versions or part of Dual Protection or Internet Security Barrier bundles -- are fully compatible with Snow Leopard: NetBarrier X5, 10.5.4; VirusBarrier X5, 10.5.9; Personal Backup X5, 10.5.6; ContentBarrier X5, 10.5.5; Personal Antispam X5, 10.5.3; FileGuard X5, 10.5.2; VirusBarrier Server; and VirusBarrier Mail Gateway, 10.5.9 Intego NetUpdate, provided with all Intego programs, will allow eligible users to update their software for free; all Intego programs updated for Snow Leopard will be available for download on or before Friday, Aug. 28. All users need to do is run NetUpdate and download and install the latest versions of their Intego software.

SmartBackup ready for Snow Leopard
Freeridecoding has updated SmartBackup (http://freeridecoding.com/smartbackup), a Mac OS X app for lightweight backups, to version 2.5. The upgrade is ready for Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard"). TextExpander touch released for the iPhone
SmileOnMyMac has released TextExpander touch, the iPhone/iPod touch version of the customizable typing shortcut tool. It's available for US$1.99 at the Apple App Store; after that it will cost $4.99. With TextExpander touch, iPhone users can enter frequently-used text using short abbreviations. Once notes are composed using TextExpander shortcuts, they can be sent directly to Mail and Twitter clients. They can also be used in other iPhone apps via copy and paste. F-Script update adds system-wide scripting, dynamic Cocoa class
Developer Philippe Mougin has updated F-Script (http://www.fscript.org), an open-source scripting language specifically designed for Cocoa (Apple's object-oriented development system), to version 2.0. The new version sports such new features as system-wide scripting, dynamic Cocoa class creation, 64-bit support and automatic garbage collection. F-Script provides interactive and scripting access to Cocoa objects through a graphical environment and a high-level programming model. It allows interactive exploration, testing and use of Cocoa-based objects and frameworks.
