Henge Docks releases iPhone case compatible inserts
Henge Docks (www.hengedocks.com) is introducing its new iPhone Case Compatible Inserts for the Gravitas iPhone dock. This new case insert for iPhone 5/5s and 5c allows synching and charging of iPhones without removing the case off the device.

Smarthome has expanded its offering of connected home products with the introduction of the US$279.99 Honeywell Lyric (http://www.lyric.honeywell.com) thermostat.
Using smartphone location, the Lyric thermostat knows when you're coming and going. It automatically sets the thermostat in energy saving mode when the house is empty, and when it knows you are coming home it automatically heats or cools the house to your preferred temperature. The Fine Tune feature factors indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity and weather into its algorithm, enabling it to provide the most comfortable temperature in the home, according to Scott Holder of Smarthome.
With the Lyric app (available via the Apple App Store and Google Play app stores), homeowners can adjust their home’s temperature wherever they are. When inside the home, the thermostat can be managed using Honeywell’s familiar round dial control on the thermostat itself.
ZipZapMac updates Periscope Pro for Mac OS X

For 2013, worldwide public cloud services revenue reached a total of US$45.7 billion and IDC expects this market to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23% through 2018, according to the IDC research group (www.idc.com).

Apple blocking older versions of Flash Player plug-in for Safari
Apple is blocking (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5655) all un-updated version of the Flash Player plug-in for Safari due to security reasons. If the version of Adobe Flash plug-in you are using is out of date, you may see the message, "Blocked plug-in", "Flash Security Alert” or "Flash out-of-date" when attempting to view Flash content in Safari.
In order to use Adobe Flash you need to update to a later version:
1. Click the Download Flash button.
2. Safari opens Adobe Flash Player installer page on the Adobe website.
3. Click the Download now button on the Adobe website to download the latest Adobe Flash Player installer.
4. After the download completes, open the downloaded disk image (usually located in your Downloads folder) if it does not open automatically.
5. In the window that appears, open the installer and follow the onscreen instructions.

The new version adds: support for animated images, support for videos embedded directly within emails, an integrated button designer, and collaborative features for teams.

SoundSight announces video/audio recording headphones
SoundSight Headphones (SoundSightHeadphones.com) has announced what is says is the world’s first video recording headphones. Developed for iOS and devices, it allows you to record, video, edit, mix your music and video, and share the results.

Apple posts iTunes 11.3 for Mac OS X, Windows
Apple has released iTunes 11.3 for Mac OS X and Window. The update adds support for iTunes Extras in HD movies. With iTunes Extras, viewers can see cast interviews, exclusive clips, behind-the-scenes footage, and photo galleries along with a movie.
HD movie extras are available on the Apple TV set-top box for those who've updated it with Software Update 6.2. HD movie extras support will come to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch when iOS 8 is released this fall.
iTunes is free and available for download at the Mac App Store. The 11.3 update can be installed via the OS X System Preference's Software Update app.

Conner Productions (http://www.connerpro.com) has released Billow, a free Apple Free Final Cut Pro X template that features a billowing smoke effect and organic lights, coming together to make an introduction title.

D-Link (http://www.dlink.com) has announced the DAP-2660, an US$229.99, 802.11ac wireless access point. Packaged in a low profile white housing, the DAP-2660 is designed for ceiling or wall mount applications in schools, office buildings, hospitals, government facilities, hotels, and more.
The DAP-2660 delivers wireless performance using the latest 802.11ac standard, with maximum wireless signal rates of up to 300 Mbps using the 2.4GHz band, and 867 Mbps using the 5 GHz band.

Adobe issues security updates for Flash Player
A vulnerability in Adobe's Flash player that could allow malicious users to steal browser data — including cookies — on Macs, PCs, and Linux machines has been exploited, prompting Adobe to issue a patch and urge users to upgrade their system as soon as possible, reports AppleInsider.com.
Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.125 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh and Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.378 and earlier versions for Linux. These updates address vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. It's a free action puzzle game for in which players must long-tap the white ring at the bottom of the screen until it changes to the corresponding color to fire the same colored ball upwards to destroy the descending ball. If the balls are the same color, they will destroy each other. The game is over if the falling ball reaches the ring at the bottom.
Tanner Christensen has released Brainbean for the iPad. The free game (which does tout in-app purchases) is filled with mini-games that last 60 seconds each and which are designed to "challenge your creativity and exercise your brain."
