The Satchel dresses up your MacBook Air (and protects it)
Fabrix's (http://www.fabrixcases.com) Satchel felt cases for the new Macbook Airs 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch are "old school" cases with an interesting look and feel. They're not the cheapest options around (hey, they're handmade), but they are stylish and relatively durable.
The Satchel cases (I tested the one for the 11-6-inch Air) are made using industrial grade 100% wool felt and matched with tanned brown calf leather. They're soft to the touch, but provide a decent amount of protection considering it's almost like a sleeve -- a thick one with quite a bit of built-in padding -- with multiple carrying options.
What sort of options? A specially designed adjustable sling strap -- off-white in color -- comes together with the case and can be attached to the top of the case.
The Satchel itself is a slim remix that's custom-fitted to the for the new Macbook Air models. Its attractive design revolves around a flap that's flanked by two leather strap and riveted with sets of bronze hardware for full slinging action.
The Satchel is available in two sizes, one for the Macbook Air 11.6-inch and the larger version fitted for the Macbook Air 13.3-inch. The prices are US$79.90 and $89.90, respectively. The smaller version also works just fine with the iPad. Whichever Apple gadget you have, you can "dress it for success" with a Satchel.
