Western Digital releases Mac compatible WD TV
Western Digital (WD) has introduced a way for consumers to play their stored digital content on their HDTV in Full-HD 1080p resolution. The WD TV Media Player connects to a user's TV or home theater and plays digital movies, music and photos from WD's My Passport portable drive or other USB mass storage device. According to research firm IDC, nearly 334 million GB of photos and more than 3.1 billion GB of video will be stored on consumer desktop and laptop computers in 2008. The upgrade fixes incompatibilities with iTunes 8. iTunes Dupes Barrier allows you to search the duplicate songs inside the iTunes and iPod songs' databases. Microsoft's Macintosh Business Unit (the MacBU) has announced that Eric Wilfrid has been named the new general manager of the MacBU. This change in leadership comes as Craig Eisler has been promoted to a new role within E&D. Wilfrid is a 14-year Microsoft veteran who has been with the MacBU since its inception in 1997 where he most recently was a product unit Manager. iBobble-3D offers 'politically incorrect laughter' for...
