Migration Kit: inventory/stock control software for Mac OS X

For those new to the column, Macsimum Migration is our term for companies moving from Wintel machines to Macs -- or at least adding or increasing the number of Macs they use. A Migration Kit is an overview of Mac OS products for a particular occupation, such as dentistry, accounting, etc.) This week we look at inventory/stock control software for the Mac.

BestellWas! (http://www.everling-net.de/) is a German merchandise and inventory control system for a small or middle size mail order business. Package modules include contact management, article and services management with automatic inventory control, accounting as well as mass mailing functions. The Mac OS X software is ready for use with the Euro and offers many reporting features.

Business Open

Business Open (http://www.gubus.de/) is a German-developed inventory and merchandise planning and control system independent of the line of business. Mac OS X and Windows clients are supported. Several import/export modules and interfaces to other applications are included. The user interface is available in different languages.

Capital Asset Inventory Tracker

Capital Asset Inventory Tracker (http://www.compdim.com/) tracks the location, movement and cost of capital inventory. Item Numbers can be manually or automatically assigned. The Mac OS X software is compatible with a variety of bar code scanners.

cc office

cc office (http://www.clara.de/indexi.htm) is an inventory control system with accounting and billing, double-entry bookkeeping and balance sheet modules. The modules my be used in single user mode or over a network.

Cogilog Immobilisations

Cogilog Immobilisations (http://www.cogilog.com/) is Mac OS X compatible, professional software for assets management. It's designed for certified French public accountant firms.

Computrace Plus

Comptrace Plus (http://www.absolute.com/) is a computer tracking and loss control solution to help security departments monitor asset location daily, protect valuable data and attempt to recover computers if they're stolen.

DW-Shop

DW Shop (http://www.deltaworx.de/cms/index.php) is a Mac OS X office management system for German language users. The package contains modules for address management and accounting. It comes in "standard" and "pro" versions.

Enterprise Automation System

Enterprise Automation System (http://www.b2bdbsys.com/) is a FileMaker relational database system that includes workflow modules for customer relationship management, estimating, sales & invoicing, product line inventory, suppliers, purchasing, raw materials inventory, human resources and work-in-progress. Any or all of the modules in this system can be integrated with ODBC compliant enterprise SQL databases and accounting systems. This system can also be shared or integrated with your business partners databases for business-to-business transactions.

Inventory Tracker Plus

Inventory Tracker Plus (http://productivity-software.com/) is Mac OS X software for managing products and supplies. It includes invoice creation and tracking features, as well as contact, scheduling, task and calculator facilities.

iuAssets (http://www.iuni.com/) is Mac OS X software that lets you manage your assets. It's been designed to cater for both the home user and small business owner.

Mac Barcode Label

Mac Barcode Label (http://www.onlymac.de/) lets you create, export and print barcodes on labels. It works with Mac OS X and is designed for German language users.

MasterFINANZ

MasterFinanz (http://www.masterfinanz.com/) is a Mac OS X financial accounting software suite for German language users. It offers various modules for budget management, invoicing, controlling and project billing. The Fixed Assets Register version not only manages fixed assets, but also securities, stocks and shares.

Orion

Orion (http://www.jumbosoft.de/) is a management and stock control application for Mac OS X. Integrated modules include contacts, correspondence, project management, invoices and more. It's for German language users.

PlatipusPro Advanced POS

PlatipusPro Advanced POS (http://www.platipuspro.com/) offers features for: real time inventory control, point of sale, contact management, sales/invoicing, multi-site operation, credit card processing, multi user, bar coding, cross platform operation, faxing, emailing, auto drop ship processing, FEDEX/UPS shipping module, vendor purchasing, eCommerce, purchase orders, accounting, telemarketing, bulk emailing, faxing and more.

PowerNETGuard

PowerNETGuard (http://www.ups-technet.com/) is UPS management software for Mac OS X.

Praktitkus Professional

Praktitkus Professional (http://www.guenther-dv.de/) is a Mac OS X inventory control system for a wide variety of businesses. It's designed for German language users.

QuickTrack Pro V

QuickTrack Pro V (http://www.barcodereaders.com/) tracks your items, assets and loan items using barcodes. It can print barcodes, create reports and even set due back dates. The pro version is networkable and runs on all Mac operating systems.

Shopkeeper

Shopkeeper (http://www.posdirect.com/) is a Mac OS X package designed for small businesses to handle inventory control and point of sale.

Simply Production

Simply Production (http://www.simplyproduction.com/) is a Mac OS X inventory and production control application with barcode facilities.

Sixth Sense POS

Sixth Sense POS (http://www.sixthsensepos.com/) is a Mac OS X compatible cash register with inventory and customer tracking and control. It comes with reporting and graphing capabilities, the ability to handle customer accounts (including automatic statement generation), emailing reports and customers.

Sole Possession

Sole Possession (http://www.epigroove.com/) is a Mac OS X inventory and tracking package whose features include item recording by name, model, category, manufacturer, serial number, purchase date and price and more.

Stock

Stock (http://www.millermilngavie.f2s.com/) is an inventory, sales and customer management system using a MySQL database backend. It's designed for use by small shops and businesses.

Stockpile

Stockpile (http://www.binaryformations.com/) is a home inventory management application for Mac OS X users.

Store House

Store House (http://www.digitalfriedchicken.com/) is software that keeps track of information about your assets including location, cost, description, photo, warranty information and beneficiary of the asset. Custom fields can be added, and database can be altered, added to or deleted from.

TMA--the Maintenance Authority

TMA--the Maintenance Authority (http://www.tmasys.com/) is a system for managing facilities. It generates work orders on assets, vehicles and spaces. Over 90 reports are included. Other features include: an ad hoc report generator; built-in barcode facility; tracks labor as well as stock. Versions available: TMA eXpress, TMA Workgroup and TMA Enterprise. A range of add-on modules are also available.

Xsilva LightSpeed 2

Xsilva LightSpeed 2 (http://www.xsilva.com) is a point-of-sale system for Mac that offers retail stores retail tools in an iTunes-like Browser, and a "floating" POS interface. LightSpeed's integrated Web Store module (sold separately) can help stores take their product catalog online and download orders right back into LightSpeed. All of this functionality is built on a multi-user database that will scale.
