Taylor Swift's '1989' album won't stream on Apple Music
1989, Taylor Swift's album that was released six months ago, won't be available on Apple Music, reports BuzzFeed (http://tinyurl.com/pv99758). That's no big surprise, as it's not available on any music streaming platform.
However, Swift’s back catalog, which is currently available on many streaming services that require users to pay for a subscription — including Rdio and Tidal — will be found on Apple Music. The artist has never been a fan of streaming music services, saying "music should be consumed as albums," notes BuzzFeed. In November, she removed all of her music from Spotify, arguing that its free version devalues the art form.
Apple Music launches June 30 for iOS and Mac OS X devices. Android is next, and Apple anticipates attracting 100 million paying subscribers.
