Georgios Trigonakis has introduced WidgeTunes 1.0 (http://tinyurl.com/pznjnax), a new Notification Center widget for Mac OS X.

WidgeTunes lets you view all your iTunes playlists, create a list with your favorite playlists and choose a playlist to play. With control buttons directly on the widget itself, users can navigate through songs of the current playlist. The widget can also work as a menu bar popup app; just press the WidgeTunes icon on OS X's menu bar to view WidgeTunes in a popup window.

WidgeTunes requires Mac OS X 10.10 or later and costs US$0.99. It's available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Music category.
