InSilo.co has introduced the Peppermint (http://www.osxpeppermint.com) code editor for Mac OS X, which supports more than 50 syntaxes.

It provides advanced editing features with dozens of extensions, giving developers the ability to create new apps. Peppermint is designed to provide a "one-window no-distractions experience" with extensibility features like plug-ins, live JavaScript console and third party extensions, according to Ioannis Zafeiropoulos, InSilo.com's chief software architect and CEO.

Peppermint 1.0 costs US$14.99 and requires Mac OS X 10.7 or higher. It's available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Developer Tools category.
