Quark Software has announced a variety of new XTensions for QuarkXPress 10. XTensions are software applications from Quark and third-party developers that allow companies to customize QuarkXPress with features that address specific design and workflow needs.

XTensions now available for QuarkXPress 10 include:

° AutoCorrect by AthenaSoft, which enables "as-you-type" spell checking and auto corrections;

° AutoPage by Kytek, which enables batch pagination for paginating complex books, directories and journals;

° Big Picture by Badia Software, which manages graphics and picture links and offers instant access to detailed image information, complete picture lists, a search and relink engine and more;

° ex DBLink by CoDesCo, which automatically updates QuarkXPress documents from a database-generated ASCII file;

° ex Index by CoDesCo, which allows Mac users to create an index of all article numbers in a QuarkXPress document;

° ex TranslationFilter by CoDesCo, which allows bi-directional export and import of formatted QuarkXPress text content into and from an XLIFF file or a Microsoft Word document;

° FontExplorer X Pro by Monotype, which provides advanced tools that help find and enhance the availability of installed fonts;

° ID2Q by Markzware, which converts files from Adobe InDesign to QuarkXPress;

° JoLetter by JoLauterbach: mail and merge software for high-quality mailings;

° PictureXTracker by CodeWear, which creates or replaces links between picture files and documents and organizes the management of images, even those that have been discarded;

° Suitcase Fusion by Extensis: a professional font manager that delivers previews, search tools and font organization;

° Xactuell by CodeWare, which integrates text, pictures, tables and other data from any data sources into layouts with a mouse drag;

° Xcatalog by emsoftware, which creates transparent links between documents and databases or spreadsheets to synchronize updates to prices, product information, images and more;

° Xdata by emsoftware, which turns raw structured data into finished documents in minutes;

° Xtags by emsoftware: import/export text filters that turn tagged text into complete, complex documents.
