Streamer Pro lets users use iPhones with hearing aids
Oticon, a manufacturer of hearing solutions, has launched an upgraded Streamer Pro that lets folks who use Oticom wireless hearing instruments connect to an iPhone via the company's ConnectLine app.
The Streamer Pro is worn around the neck and acts as an intermediary device to connect Bluetooth-enbled devices to Oticom hearing instruments. The upgraded Streamer Pro and ConnectLine app work with all the company's hearing acids purchased since 2007.
When the Streamer Pro is paired with the ConnectLine app — a free download at the Apple App Store — it provides functionality that lets users switch to a variety of input sources with just a few taps. Volume can be adjusted individually for each source.
Users can move from listening to music to making audio and FaceTime calls. They can also connect to the entire integrated ConnectLine system, which allows them to stream audio from TV, landline and office phones, personal microphones, and, more directly, to their hearing apps.
The Streamer Pro supports the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, and iPod touch (fifth generation). For more info go to http://www.oticonusa.com .
