Wacom announces DTH-2242 pen, touch display
Wacom has announced the DTH-2242, a 21.5-inch, interactive pen and touch display for the healthcare and presentation marketks.
The DTH-2242's direct pen-on-screen input is designed to allow users to interact and communicate more effectively with their patients as well as other medical personnel. For example, during discussions with patients or medical colleagues, healthcare professionals can add notes or draw pictures.
The 21.5-inch IPS LCD panel sports 1920x1080 and has five user-customizable ExpressKeys, located on the display's bezel. They provide access to commonly used shortcuts and functions. Additionally, there are USB ports on either side of the DTH-2242.
The pen can be tethered to the unit and stored in the dedicated pen compartment. A security slot has been designed into the product to prevent theft. The LCD panel of the DTH-2242 features anti-glare properties and is scratch resistant. The integrated stand can be adjusted to support inclination angles from 15 to 72 degrees. Alternatively, the VESA 100 mount allows third party arms or stands to be used.
The DTH-2242 is priced at US$2,199 and will be available through Wacom's eStore and other channels in mid-April. For more info go to www.wacom.com .
