Emerson App Development has announced Opposite Test: Holidays 1.0, the sequel to the original Opposite Test for the iPhone and iPod touch. Th US$0.99 quiz app features questions that all relate to the holiday season.

NextRoot has released SongMix, a music trivia/discovery game for the iPhone and iPod touch. With the free app you can play one of 12 genres in three game modes (Time Attack, Arcade and Song Attack). Songs are chosen from the most popular artists of the moment. You can even mark your favorite songs and purchase them from the iTunes music store directly from SongMix.

Vasoware has introduced Christmas Clock: Deluxe Edition for iOS. The free app counts down the days and hours to Christmas. It also lets you listen to classic Christmas songs and track Santa's every move.

mMyrix Studios has unveiled GridBreaker 1.0 for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 game takes you on a journey with our hero Zimmerman, a soldier who has the fate of the world on his shoulders.

Squeaky Frog has debuted Hiding Hannah, an interactive children's book for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Designed for toddlers, the $1.99 app tells the story of a girl who loves to hide. Young readers can look for her hiding places.

Flow Studio has presented the power of Logic 1.0, their new logic game for iOS devices. The app is designed to test the level of your logical thinking in guessing a combination of colors of pins, which is also the original mechanism of the board game. Logic 1.0 costs $0.99 for the iPhone/iPod touch version, and $1.99 for the iPad. A feature-limited, lite version is also available.

Toccata Technologies has given us FaceBooth for iPad 1.0. The app performs image morphing of a male face and a female face to produce a photo of what the pair's grown child might look like. There's a free, feature-limited version; the full version is $1.99.

Metamotifs has created HuntedApp 1.0 for iOS. It's a $0.99 app where the iPhone owner is tracked down via GPS by one of four virtual pursuers. A speed and a finish point are set, and the player gets a head start. When the pursuers get too close, the player hears an audio alert. The pursuers' progress can be viewed in real-time as they follow the same path as the player. It's even possible to "hide" from the pursuers by interrupting the iPhone's GPS signal, e.g., going indoors.

Hacker News Paper has appeared in the Apple App Store. It shows each article in a small blurb with its newspaper-like interface. Hacker News Paper 1.0 is $1.99 during its first week; this sale will end Monday, Nov. 28.

Smash Atom Software has published Cinderella Storybook HD 1.0 for iOS. The $1.99 book presents a digitally enhanced version of the classic fairy tale by Giambattista Basile. Cinderella Storybook HD includes automatic page turns, narration off, touch activated text to speech and sound effects, and a universal format optimized for display on all iOS devices.

NuOxygen Game Publishing has conjured up Magic Formula. The $0.99 puzzle gaming title for iOS is designed around the principles of problem solving. Your goal is to eliminate all the flasks by strategically exploding them in the right combination. Every drop of potion gradually increases the flask's liquid that will be changing color.

8 Bit Grenade has sprung Snap Trap 1.0 for iOS devices. In the $2.99 you're a hungry mouse determined to collect every piece of cheese, but lying in your way is an assortment of deadly traps. Your goal is to navigate around these traps and return home safely.

Dysotek has uncanned Tomato Crush 1.0 for iOS. In the $0.99 bumper car game, you placedi in an arena for a free-for-all battle between tomatoes. To overcome your enemies grab power-ups, avoid traps and use the bounce zones. Tomato Crush sports four game modes, 10 maps with traps, power-up objects and bounce zones.

The new, free Qwizful HD for iPad is designed to help young children boost their confidence toward formal assessment tests. It features a mix of questions, fun characters, an intuitive interface and audio.

Twiny Vine and Zeladrijn Music have produced Boogie Bugs. It's a $0.99 musical game for budding composers of all ages. Boogie Bugs allows the user to toggle on and off frogs, dragonflies, beetles and other timed background bugs to orchestrate a musical tune while tapping the lead melody on responsive buggy instruments.

Intermarum has served up Wicked Stars for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The $1.99 arcade adventure puts players in control of a furry orange fuzzball, challenging them to help him collect falling white stars while avoiding a simultaneous downpour of black ones, all keenly enough to keep a sleeping monster underneath them from waking up.
