The New International Commentary on the New Testament (NICNT) is now available for use with Accordance Bible Software.

NICNT is a popular commentary covering all the books of the New Testament except for 2 Peter and Jude. The series seeks "to provide earnest students of the New Testament with an exposition that is thorough and abreast of modern scholarship and at the same time loyal to the Scriptures as the infallible Word of God."

NICNT provides exposition that takes technical questions into account, but which avoids getting bogged down in technical details, according to the folks at Accordance. More technical aspects -- such as grammatical, textual, and historical problems -- are dealt with in footnotes, special notes, and appendixes.

NICNT is continually being updated, with older volumes periodically revised or replaced with newer volumes more conversant with contemporary scholarship. In the past two years, the volumes on the books of John (by Leon Morris) and James (by James B. Adamson) have been replaced with new commentaries by J. Ramsey Michaels and Scot McKnight. The Accordance edition of NICNT includes both the old and new volumes, enabling users to compare the two side-by-side.

The Accordance edition of NICNT includes the equivalent of 20 print volumes worth more than US$1,000. It retails for $599, and is currently offered at the introductory sale price of $499.
