Oceanside Interactive has announced The Godfather: Empire for the iPhone and iPod touch. Based on Paramount Pictures’ iconic movie franchise, The Godfather: Empire -- free for a limited time -- lets players take on the role of a Corleone family member challenged with recruiting new associates, bringing down rival organizations, and building the most powerful organization in 1940’s New York.

Appnoose has released ITGO Matrix 1.0 the next evolution of its Interval Training app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The US$3.99 app is an interval trainer, adding programmable "pods" that store user definable fast and slow intervals in addition to the original ITGO features of programmable dual music playlists, voice and or beep prompts and vibration alerts. ITGO Matrix also introduces separate programmable warm up and cool down interval pods, Matrix repeat functionality and more.

Happymagenta has launched Groove Pillars, a free gaming project for the iPhone and iPod touch. It's a puzzle game that combines traditional "match 3" puzzle features and strategic elements. You have to match several combinations in a row to earn the increasing bonus.

Impiger Technologies has introduced WC2k11 Cricket 1.0, a free iPhone app for World Cup fans. It offers match scores, tweets from cricket stars themselves, news from across the venues, videos, match schedules besides venue stats and records.

PhoneApp.com has debuted Clapboard for iPad users. The $2.99 app is designed for novice movie makers, videographers and film buffs. It allows for quick take editing. Clapboard sports an editable production information section, action prompt, date, timestamp and mark setting and help.

ACDev has unveiled Sounds of Africa 1.0 for iOS devices. The $0.99 app features a wealth of wild life and provides 25 images and sounds of animals. The sounds are actual recorded audio from the animals in the wild. At the bottom of the screen you have a roller that will let you scroll down and select any of the animals in the list.

Viaden Mobile has created Pocket Doctor 1.0, a $0.99 health guide for iOS devices. It's designed to help provide quick assistance in detecting health disorders. With this application users can purportedly get a clear picture about their condition and start early disease management. By answering yes/no to the questions about a current health condition, a user quickly gets a preliminary diagnosis, learns which healthcare specialist to turn to for help and what drugs can be used for treatment.

The Baby Shusher iPhone app ($4.99) is a new iOS app that provides parents with a way to calm fussy babies, while enabling everyone in their household to get some sleep.

Real Rockstar for iOS and Android platforms ($1.99) "promises to change the way fans interact with music and music industry stars, by making the individual audio experience a more intimate, emotional, and multi-dimensional interactive personal relationship between fans and their favorite musical artists." It also generates "E-videos" -- emotionally charged videos.

Hippopopopo has rolled out Road Vehicles for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It's a free game designed to teach youngsters about vehicles. Road Vehicles incorporates auditory, visual and kinesthetic sensory teaching tools. Children use their finger to move each of the app's vehicles to their correspondingly correct building. Along the way, children learn the sound each vehicle makes. The app offers five public vehicles but users can unlock 15 more through the in-app purchase option.

eFusion has updated Voice Recorder HD for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to version 3.0. Voice Recorder HD is a $1.99 recorder for the business person, audio professional, sound engineer, and anyone else who needs to manage voice memos. It supports background recording and play.

Vicinno Soft has announced 15C Scientific Calculator 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It's an update of the $19.99 emulator for the HP 15C Scientific Calculator. Identical in every aspect, the app provides an emulation of the layout, functions, algorithms, capabilities, and key sequences of the original.

Innovatty has updated Geometrica Visualizer, a free version of its interactive visualizer app for the iPhone and iPod touch, to version 1.2. The app lets you create your own wallpapers. The free version has many of the full version app features, including unique wallpapers, glow effects, particles, fireworks, automatic play mode, multi-touch and interactive control.

Deeje Cooley has released tappr.tv 2.1 for iOS. It's a free visual scratching app that lets users make their own dynamic visuals using over 100 particle-based instruments. Version 2.1 now offers users the ability to create and save dynamic visual loops with multiple tracks.

PhatWare has updated WritePate, their note-taking and handwriting app for the iPad, to version 4.6. The new version of the $9.99 app introduces a redesigned Document Manager, which allows users to store their documents in the app's folder hierarchy and search all documents for specific characters or words.

Epic Games and its Salt Lake City-based development studio, ChAIR Entertainment, have launched “Infinity Blade: The Deathless Kings” on the Apple App Store. The free content update features new enemies, battle arenas, weapons, and enhancements that further extend the original game. To celebrate the updated content release, Epic Games is announcing a temporary promotional sale that reduces the price of Infinity Blade, allowing gamers to purchase the “Mobile Game of the Year” for $2.99 until Sunday, March 6.
