According to an announcement at a John Lewis Christmas Technology Press Event, the next version of the iPod touch -- due in September -- will sport a 5-megapixel camera, a front facing webcam for FaceTime video calls over Wi-Fi along with gyroscope and accelerometer for improved gaming.

"John Lewis are holding an event in London today (of which we will be bringing you all the details), to showcase their Christmas offerings from all major brands, so Apple may have divulged this information to them to get tongues wagging in the lead up to Christmas."
