CHL Software has announced a beta release of their new document and file management product: DocMoto. It's a document and file management system designed specifically for the Mac platform.

CHL Software believes that all enterprises need some form of document and file management, but for Mac users this has traditionally meant having to use a browser based system primarily designed for Windows, says company spokesperson Neil Cameron. DocMoto can store any kind of digital file not just documents. Images, video and even email are all supported.

In its standard form DocMoto delivers revision control, notifications, searching and Meta tagging , as well as other common document management features. CHL expects most corporate users to modify DocMoto to suit their working practices more precisely, says Cameron.

Registration to obtain a pre-release version of DocMoto is now available from CHL's web site (http://www.chlsoftware.com). Just remember: beta software is unfinished software, so use with care. DocMoto is expected to be released towards the end of the summer.
