ALAMEDA, Calif., March 19, 2001 -- NuSpectra Multimedia, Inc. today
announced a new Lite version of SiteCam with all of the SiteCam
functionality for up to five audio and video streams. Now for the first
time, SiteCam, the full-featured audio/video WebCam application that lets
you add live video from your Firewire, PCI or USB camera and broadcast it
through any video-ready Macintosh to anyone on the Internet, is available
in a 5-stream Lite version. Also today NuSpectra posted a free 6.0.5 update
to SiteCam 6.0. Available today, all SiteCam 6.0 users can get the free
6.0.5 update from www.nuspectra.com with several bug fixes, more reliable
video capture and several new AppleScript features.
SiteCam includes a built-in HTTP server, FTP client, and audio/video
encoders in one application that makes serving images, movies and streaming
video from any broadband connection easy. SiteCam streams up to 150
connection, with the only limitation being the bandwidth at the camera
location. SiteCam Lite limits the number of outgoing audio and video
streams to 5, which is acceptable for most light to medium traffic WebCam
sites.

System Requirements
SiteCam 6.0.5 is Carbon-, PowerPC- and 68K-compliant, running on Mac OS 7.6
through Mac OS 9.x. Streaming audio/video and Web serving requires a static
IP address. Audio requires an audio input such as CD, external microphone
or audio-in.
Pricing and Availability
Available today, SiteCam Lite 6.0.5 is priced at $49 and supports a maximum
of five concurrent audio and video connections. New copies of SiteCam 6.0.5
are available for $149 each or $499 for a 5-pack license. A free SiteCam
6.0.5 update is available today for all SiteCam 6.0 users. Registered users
of SiteCam 4.0 or later can upgrade to SiteCam 6.0.5 for $25. Discounts are
available for students and educational institutions. A full-featured, trial
version of SiteCam 6.0.5, which will run 15 trials for 30-minutes at a
