METROWERKS SHIPS CODEWARRIOR FOR PLAYSTATION DR/1 HOSTED ON MAC OS &
WIN95/NT AND MW CODEMANAGER 3

AUSTIN, Texas-October 28, 1996-Metrowerks Inc. (NASDAQ: MTWKF, TSE/ME:MWK),
today announced the availability of CodeWarrior for PlayStation DR1, a
development environment for creating software titles for the PlayStation
game console, and MW CodeManager 3, Metrowerks' cross-platform revision
control system which is fully compatible with Microsoft SourceSafe 4.0a.

CodeWarrior for PlayStation DR1 is hosted on Mac OS and Windows 95/NT and
is authorized by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. It features the full
CodeWarrior IDE, a plug-in CodeWarrior C/C++ compiler for MIPS and a
selection of integrated graphical format converters for managing game
development with the CodeWarrior IDE. CodeWarrior for PlayStation DR1 is
Metrowerks' first CodeWarrior product hosted on Windows 95/NT.

MW CodeManager 3 features a new plug-in interface for the CodeWarrior IDE
which allows programmers to perform version control operations directly
from within the CodeWarrior IDE. It also features the new CodeManager
Administrator, a stand-alone application which integrates administrative
features previously deployed through third-party tools such as MPW and
ToolServer.

Pricing and Availability
CodeWarrior for PlayStation DR1 is available direct from Metrowerks and
from participating international distributors for a suggested retail price
of US$699. Special pricing is available until October 31, 1996. For more

three free updates and technical support from Metrowerks.

MW CodeManager Release 3 is available direct from Metrowerks and from
Metrowerks authorized distributors for a suggested retail price of US$399.
Registered users receive two free updates and technical support from
Metrowerks.
