HistoryHound 1.9

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HistoryHound 1.9 Sniffs out Keywords in RSS Feeds
and Web Pages You've Visited or Bookmarked

(Blacksburg, VA -- December 20, 2005) St. Clair Software is happy to
announce the release of version 1.9 of HistoryHound, its fast, efficient
utility for indexing and searching web pages that you've bookmarked or
visited recently.

HistoryHound 1.9 now lets you search and display RSS feeds as well as web
pages from your browser history and bookmarks. It also delivers stability,
efficiency, and speed improvements in its indexing and searching of pages
you've viewed in Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, OmniWeb, Camino,
Mozilla/Netscape, Opera, and Shiira web browsers or the built-in browsers
of the NetNewsWire 2 and PulpFiction RSS readers. Just type in a word or
words that appeared on a page or RSS feed you've seen before, and
HistoryHound will find it!

The update is free for registered users, and is localized for English,
Japanese, French, and Danish-speaking Mac OS X users.

ABOUT HISTORYHOUND

Have you ever tried to find something in your browser history or bookmarks,
but couldn't quite remember when or where you saw it? Or perhaps you've got
your bookmarks meticulously organized, but it takes forever to mouse
through the menus to get to something you want? HistoryHound will chase
down the page for you - fast!

Just type in a few keywords that appear anywhere in the page or RSS feed
and HistoryHound will give you a list of matches, ranked by relevance.
Powered by Mac OS X's "SearchKit" search technology for fast searching,
HistoryHound lets you do a text search on the entire content of all web
pages and RSS feeds you've visited recently, plus all those you've
bookmarked. It also includes a built-in browser based on WebKit, the same
engine that's inside Safari, so your search results are rendered quickly
and accurately.

HistoryHound provides an intuitive interface that finds what you're looking
for, then gets out of your way. Among its features, HistoryHound lets you:

1. Choose your weapon: You can use HistoryHound's full search window with
relevance, sorting, and result preview, or choose a minimalist search
palette where you enter search terms and get a quick popup list of results.

2. Be as simple or as complicated as you like: Search for pages containing
any or all of your search terms, or use more sophisticated boolean or
include / exclude searches.

3. Call on HistoryHound with a keystroke: A hot key brings the HistoryHound
search window to the front when you need it. It finds your page then hides
itself in the background.

4. Don't suffer memory loss: Unlike Safari, HistoryHound will remember
pages for as long as you like, so you can find that recipe you forgot to
bookmark sometime last month.

HistoryHound will operate on any Macintosh running Mac OS X version 10.3 or
higher and currently supports Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, OmniWeb,
Camino, Mozilla/Netscape, Opera, and Shiira web browsers, NetNewsWire 2 and
PulpFiction RSS readers, plus URL Manager Pro's bookmark files.
HistoryHound is distributed as shareware, requiring a $19.95 registration
fee for use beyond its free 30 day trial period.
