Nineblock Software today announced the release of SnapMeasure 1.7, a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator which implements a better measuring tool. Unlike the built-in tool, it snaps with visual feedback to elements on the page, can put measurement data next to the cursor, allows changes of line color, and lets you set the constrain angle and cursor key distance without opening the preferences window. This release adds selectable snapping icons, selectable measurement data fields, "HoverMeasure" (click-free segment and point data), and more. SnapMeasure requires Illustrator 10, CS or CS2. Pricing is US$14 for a personal/non-profit license and $24 for a commercial license.
