Future Apple Vision Pro headsets may use software...

Apple is researching how to make software for the Apple Vision Pro to help prevent motion sickness from perceived motion, as well as caused by the motion of a vehicle.

We won't now see an Apple Car, but some of the technology invented for it may be coming to the Apple Vision Pro — image credit: Apple
Probably all Apple Vision Pro users say that wearing your headset during a flight is more embarrassing — or at least prone to getting knocked in the overhead storage compartment. But some say that depending on what you're watching, they can get motion sickness because of how the headset's sensors are sometimes thrown by the movement of the aircraft.

It's like an exaggerated version of the motion sickness that some users feel when, say, reading their iPhone in a moving bus....

Google's note-taking app Keep is dead on Apple...

Google just pulled its note-taking app Keep from Apple Watch, extending a long and storied history of Google killing off products.

Google just pulled its note-taking app Keep
Alphabet Inc.'s Google pulled its Keep note-taking app from Apple Watch with an update on June 30, 2025. The move leaves users without a Google-backed way to take notes on the wrist.

Keep launched for watchOS in 2019 but never got much attention. It lacked watch face complications and other core features. Over time, it fell behind.

Macworld

In just a couple of months, Apple will unveil the iPhone 17. But you don’t need to wait to find out what it’s all about. Rumors, leaks, and info started to circulate months before the iPhone 16 was even formally announced, and there isn’t much we don’t know by now. Here’s everything we know about Apple’s new iPhones so far—and be sure to check back until the big event in September.

Addigy’s Prebuilt App Catalog is built to simplify...

Most enterprise apps used on macOS don’t come from the Mac App Store, so IT teams are stuck managing them manually. That includes tracking down the latest versions, packaging them up for deployment, setting up the required permissions, and making sure they’re installed and updated properly across every device. It’s a tedious process that doesn’t scale well, and it introduces security risk when apps fall behind on security updates. Addigy aims to solve this by adding a new Prebuilt App Catalog, which is now available to all its device management system customers.

July is always an interesting month for Apple releases.

There’s never any new hardware, and many of the services releases kind of slow down over the summer.

But it’s also a big month for the beta releases of Apple’s major upcoming operating system updates. Apple's Vision Pro hasn't made huge waves in the market, partly due to its steep price and "everything including the kitchen sink" feature set. But Apple hasn't given up on the platform yet; a prominent analyst with a strong record of accurate projections for Apple's product lineup, Ming-Chi Kuo, published a roadmap that shows Apple beginning to roll out a new wave of mixed reality devices in 2027.

Kuo says Apple still "views head-mounted devices as the next major trend in consumer electronics." We already knew Apple CEO Tim Cook felt that way before the Vision Pro came out, but continued investment seems to indicate that Apple hasn't been dissuaded by the relatively low sales of the Vision Pro as a niche product. However, Kuo notes that "Apple is not expected to launch any new head-mounted devices in 2026."

Apple Weighs Using Anthropic or OpenAI To Power Siri...

Apple is considering using AI technology from Anthropic or OpenAI to power a new version of Siri, according to Bloomberg, sidelining its own in-house models in a potentially blockbuster move aimed at turning around its flailing AI effort. From the report: The iPhone maker has talked with both companies about using their large language models for Siri, according to people familiar with the discussions. It has asked them to train versions of their models that could run on Apple's cloud infrastructure for testing, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations.

If Apple ultimately moves forward, it would represent a monumental reversal. The company currently powers most of its AI features with homegrown technology that it calls Apple Foundation Models and had been planning a new version of its voice assistant that runs on that technology for 2026. Some upcoming iPhone features were kept secret at...

Macworld

When it comes to announcements, Apple takes a feast-or-famine approach. Most of the time the company guards its product roadmap secrets jealously, but when event time arrives it jumps on stage and fire-hoses knowledge into journalists’ faces. Until this month.

According to a new report, however, Apple was not wholly forthcoming at WWDC 2025.
