AutoMounter 1.5 for macOS adds advanced mount rules, more
Pixeleyes has announced AutoMounter 1.5, an update to their menu item designed to automatically mount your network shares on macOS.
The utility will mount your shares from an available server or network-attached storage appliance, and they’ll appear on your Desktop. AutoMounter 1.5 offers advanced mount rules, the ability to mount to custom locations, opening apps and files on mount, and a dark UI theme.

Steven Riggs has announced TimeTable 3 for macOS (10.10 or later). It’s an update of the app that reads and filters macOS Calendar data and calculates the hours spent in the events.
It reads the events directly from the calendars in real-time based on the timeframe selected. TimeTable lets you track and bill for your time without keeping a second record outside of your calendars. It’s official: Apple will hold a media event on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. (Pacific). It’s practically a given that new iPhones will be announced. A new Apple TV and the Apple Watch Series 3 are likely to debut, as ell.

Western Digital has expanded its line of iPhone mobile storage solutions with the SanDisk iXpand Base, which offers a way to back-up iPhone photos, videos and contacts. You plug your Apple smartphone into the iXpand Base and content is automatically backed up while it’s charging.
With up to 256GB of local storage, the SanDisk iXpand Base is designed with a compact form factor, allowing it to sit on a nightstand or desk, has a soft rubber top to place a phone and a wrap-around groove to keep a Lighting cable organized. Matias has announced the Wired Aluminum Keyboard for Mac, which the company is positioning as a replacement for Apple’s discontinued wired Mac keyboards. The new keyboard sports a built-in USB 2.0 hub and precision volume dial.
"When Apple released the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, they discontinued their original wired model, leaving the Mac community without a suitable replacement, Matias CEO Edgar Matias said in a press release. “Our new Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard is more than suitable. It captures the essence of the Apple original -- and even improves on it, with the addition of a precision volume dial," said Edgar Matias, CEO of Matias.

Apple’s next U.S. data center will be built in Iowa
It’s official: Apple’s next U.S. data center will be built in Iowa. The tech giant has announced plans to build a 400,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art data center in Waukee, Iowa, to better serve North American users of iMessage, Siri, the App Store and other Apple services. Like all Apple data centers, the new facility will run entirely on renewable energy from day one.

Chronos debuts Notelife for macOS and iOS
Chronos has released Notelife for macOS and iOS. It’s a note manager that uses iCloud to sync notes across all of a user’s devices.
According to Jerry Halls, vice president of Sales at Chronos, you don’t have to remember any formatting codes, like Markdown, to format notes. Plus, Notelife offers features not found in Apple’s standard Notes app like the ability to access your notes from the menu bar while using any application, he adds.

Apple accepting donations for the SPLC
Apple is now accepting donations to the Southern Poverty Law Center (https://www.splcenter.org), an Alabama-based non-profit organization.
iTunes users in the U.S. can donate $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or $200 with a credit card tied to their account. Apple will transfer 100% of the proceeds to the SPLC, a U.S. non-profit organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists.

FORMULA ONE returns to macOS on August 25
Feral Interactive (www.feralinteractive.com) says F1 2017, the official videogame of the current 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, will be released for macOS on Aug. 25. System requirementshaven’t been announced.
Developed and published by Codemasters for Windows and consoles, F1 2017 grants players access to not only the on-track excitement of F1, but also the off-track dealings and vehicle development that goes along with it. The ten-year Career Mode includes practice programs to help players hone their skills, a research and development tree to provide greater control over the development of their car, and the ability to tune engines and gearboxes over the course of the season.
F1 2017 for macOS will be available from the Feral Store and Steam for $59.99 on Aug. 25. The Mac App Store version will be released shortly afterwards, priced at $49.99.

Beat The Game coming to the Mac on Sept. 27
Worm Animation says their debut title, point-and-click music adventure—Beat The Game (http://tinyurl.com/yal9lhs5) — will launch Sept. 7 on Steam for Mac, PC, and Linux systems.
Here’s how the game is described: “Players go on a journey with Mistik, the hero of Beat The Game, to uncover the mysterious, abstract universe he finds himself in after a motorbike crash. Mistik, though, is no ordinary hero—he’s a music producer. With the help of his trusty recorder, Mistik must collect the samples scattered around Beat The Game’s beautiful, dream-like environments in order to create the ultimate track.”
