iblazr for iOS available for pre-order
iblazr, an external flash for mobile devices, is available for pre-order and will ship in December if its Kickstarter fund-raising efforts are successful.

The flash is much more powerful than any smartphone’s built-in flash, and it adds flash to devices that currently don’t have it, including the iPad and other tablets, he adds.
Additional features include a continuous light mode, changeable brightness, and a built-in, USB rechargeable battery. In addition, the iblazr team developed propriety free app to maximize the benefits of the flash. The app allows iblazr to synchronize with the device’s camera shutter, use it with both back and front cameras, and adjust the brightness of the light.
The iblazr is equipped with a built-in battery to prevent drainage of power from the device. The 200 mAh rechargeable battery purportedly lasts up...

The initial Metro was designed for use in industry-standard typesetting machines for the printing of newspapers, magazines and posters from the late-19th century to the 1970s. Metro was a "duplexed" typeface, whereby a pair of styles, such as roman and italic, was drawn with matching individual character widths. Dwiggins’ design took this into consideration, says Allan Haley, director of words and letters at Monotype.
Metro Nova comprises seven weights, from ultra thin to extra black in regular proportions, and six weights as condensed designs. Each has an italic counterpart for a total of 26 fonts. Apple posts second-lowest y-o-y iPhone growth rate in almost...
The worldwide mobile phone market grew 6.0% year over year in the second quarter of 2013 (2Q13), according to the International Data Corp. (www.idc.com). Vendors shipped a total of 432.1 million mobile phones in 2Q13 compared to 407.7 million units in the second quarter of 2012 according to the research group. The 2Q13 total was also slightly higher than the 428.8 million units shipped in the first quarter of 2013.
Apple posted its second-lowest year-over-year iPhone growth rate in almost four years as some buyers presumably held off on iPhone purchases in advance of an expected next-generation device launch this fall. Nonetheless, the 31.2 million iPhones Apple shipped last quarter was impressive as its flagship iPhone 5 model, which has been in the market for three quarters, was faced with additional global competition. Apple's growth is likely to accelerate globally assuming it launches a lower-cost iPhone and continues to penetrate prepaid markets in the quarters to come, says IDC...

"In fact, it does look very real at a quick glance, and even uses Apple’s signature white, gray and blue for emails," notes "TechnologyTell." "However, if Apple did send out an official email to change passwords, it would mean that large parts of the developer center are...
