Nisus Software has announced Nisus Writer Pro 2.1.6, an upgrade of their word processor for the Mac. Version 2.1.6 contains a number of fixes that improve compatibility with macOS Sierra. Apple has released the first developer beta versions of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 Sierra, watchOS 3.1.1 and tvOS 10.1. They include unspecified bug fixes and performance improvements. The developer beta can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center or the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store.

Apple has announced financial results for its fiscal 2016 fourth quarter that ended Sept. 24. The company posted quarterly revenue of $46.9 billion and quarterly net income of $9 billion, or $1.67 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $51.5 billion and net income of $11.1 billion, or $1.96 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 38% compared to 39.9% in the year-ago quarter.
