[ANN] Introducing WorldSync, Inc. - New Home for SyncDeK(tm) FileMaker
Database Synchronization

New Company To Invest In SyncDeK Product Development -- SyncDeK 5.0 To
Debut At FileMaker Developer Conference

BERKELEY, CA - August 24, 2003 - WorldSync, Inc. (http://www.syncdek.com)
today announced its company launch as the new home of SyncDeK, the leading
technology for FileMaker Pro database replication and synchronization. The
company acquired SyncDeK from A.E. Wood & Erickson, which developed and
supported the product for the past 4 years.

WorldSync announced it will initially invest $1M+ to further develop and
market SyncDeK. CEO Jason Erickson said WorldSync plans to accelerate
SyncDeK product development, enhance customer support resources, and expand
worldwide distribution for SyncDeK. The company revealed immediate plans
for SyncDeK 5.0, due for release in Q4, 2003.

"SyncDeK has been successfully adopted by enterprise workgroups and smaller
organizations whose data sharing communities now include mobile and
geographically distributed users," said Erickson. "With FileMaker
positioned as the leading database software for workgroups, we expect the
need for cost-effective data replication solutions for FileMaker Pro users
to continue its rapid growth. Expanding upon the existing success of
SyncDeK, we have assembled a larger team to focus on SyncDeK. WorldSync
will be able to deliver more value, faster, to the growing base of SyncDeK
customers."

WORLDSYNC'S EXECUTIVE TEAM:
WorldSync's executive team includes Jason Erickson, CEO, Eric Jungemann
COO, and Alan Wood, Chairman. Erickson was chief architect of SyncDeK while
CTO and Partner with A.E. Wood & Erickson. Jungemann is also General
Partner at InfoMatrix LLC, and brings over 20 years of experience in
executive management, product development, IT consulting, business
operations and corporate finance. Wood, an original architect of SyncDeK is
also CEO of A.E. Wood & Erickson, LLC. which is a FileMaker Solutions
Alliance Partner, and SyncDeK VAR.

SYNCDEK 5.0 TO DEBUT AT FILEMAKER DEVCON: SyncDeK 5.0, scheduled for
release in Q4, 2003, will be previewed by WorldSync at the FileMaker
Developer Conference (Aug 24-27, 2003) in Phoenix, Arizona.

SyncDeK 5.0 is designed to dramatically reduce the costs of deploying a
flexible, secure and scalable data replication system in almost any
FileMaker database solution. The new version will introduce a core SyncDeK
application built as a next generation Java-based service, and activated
with FileMaker Pro through a single plug-in. SyncDeK 5.0 takes advantage of
FileMaker's XML capabilities to automatically and transparently manage data
exchange.

"SyncDeK 5.0's modern architecture is designed to provide speed
improvements, greater functionality and a smoother transition for customers
into future versions of SyncDeK and FileMaker Pro," said Erickson. "With
SyncDeK 5.0, installation is much simpler for both Mac and PC clients and
support costs will be significantly reduced."

ABOUT SYNCDEK:
SyncDeK provides a framework for building and managing distributed database
systems with FileMaker Pro. SyncDeK allows multiple, distributed copies of
a FileMaker database to synchronize data bi-directionally, even without
requiring direct connectivity. SyncDeK's features include robust data
replication, encryption, transaction logging, field-level conflict
resolution, and continuous back-up of data. SyncDeK can also synchronize
databases between multiple FileMaker Servers.

SyncDeK customers include NASA, Lockheed Martin, Adobe Systems, Atlanta
Hawks and The Dave Matthews Band. Smaller organizations use SyncDeK to
support mobile knowledge workers such as sales reps, case managers,
technicians, inspectors and emergency personnel. Geographically distributed
organizations use SyncDeK to synchronize data between company offices,
manufacturing plants, engineering teams, research facilities, ISP-hosted
databases and collaborative community members.
