WiebeTech announces RedPort

WICHITA, KS - November 7, 2006 -- WiebeTech=20
announces a new computer forensic product line=20
that write-blocks an attached device internally=20
at the host computer port instead of externally=20
with a docking device.

RedPort(http://www.wiebetech.com/products/RedPort.php),=20
WiebeTech's new line of forensic host cards, adds=20
write-blocked ports to a Windows or Linux=20
computer assuring that attached devices have=20
read-only capability. RedPort works much like a=20
forensic docking product by preventing writes to=20
drives; but instead of being an external docking=20
device, RedPort works within the host.

The ports are literally red in color. Connecting=20
to RedPort on the back of a computer means the=20
attached enclosure is write-blocked.

"A primary design task," said James Wiebe,=20
president and CEO of WiebeTech, "was to ensure=20
that an investigator would not be able to turn a=20
RedPort card into a read/write card by=20
accidentally installing the wrong software=20
drivers. Thus, either RedPort works=20
write-blocked, or it doesn't work at all."

WiebeTech's first RedPort host cards are=20
developed in partnership with ATTO Technology, a=20
global leader in storage interface connectivity.=20
"We've leveraged their years of experience with=20
SCSI and Fibre Channel technology with our=20
knowledge of our customers work environment and=20
requirements," said Wiebe.

RedPort SCSI or Fibre Channel work with PCIe=20
slots and provide either a SCSI or Fibre Channel=20
interface.

RedPort SCSI offers a SCSI Ultra320 interface and=20
delivers data transfer rates up to 320MB/s. The=20
product retails for $1,295.95 and is in stock and=20
ready to ship. (Part # RP-PCIE-SCSI).

RedPort Fibre Channel delivers up to 800 MB/s=20
throughput per channel in full-duplex mode. The=20
product retails for $3,185.95 and is in stock and=20
ready to ship. (Part #RP-PCIE-FC).
