WiebeTech Announces FireWire KeyChain

WiebeTech announces new features and pricing on revolutionary FireWireTM
KeyChainTM : New reduced physical size and User Configurable to 1GB,
starting at $99.95 with delivery scheduled for March.

WICHITA, KS =96 Jan. 23, 2002 =96 WiebeTech LLC announces pricing and new
features for the FireWire KeyChainTM, a high speed, portable FireWire
(IEEE1394) keychain-sized storage device which supports capacities of up to
1GB using nonvolatile CompactFlash storage modules. FireWire KeyChain's
physical dimensions have been reduced, and it is user configurable and will
ship without a storage module installed for a retail price of $99.95.
CompactFlash modules are easy to install to meet desired capacity needs.

The FireWire KeyChain now offers these outstanding features:

In response to customer input at the Macworld Expo show in early January,
James Wiebe, president of WiebeTech, said that significant features have
been added to the revolutionary FireWire KeyChain. WiebeTech
introduced FireWire KeyChain at Macworld along with its new line of micro
storage solutions. FireWire KeyChain is the industry's smallest portable,
self-powered firewire storage device, using the Oxford Semiconductor
911bridge interface for fastest possible transfer rates.

=93We listened to potential users of the product and have improved the
product offering in order to satisfy their requests for user configurable
units and even more compact size,=94 Wiebe said.

o USER CONFIGURABLE UP TO 1GB. FireWire KeyChain accepts readily available
CompactFlash storage modules, which may be installed by the dealers or user
by removing the bottom plate of FireWire KeyChain and inserting the desired
capacity.

o FIREWIRE KEYCHAIN WILL SHIP WITHOUT A STORAGE MODULE. As a
result, dealers and users will be able to configure FireWire KeyChain with
the correct storage capacity to meet their needs.

o REDUCED SIZE. FireWire KeyChain's physical size has been reduced. This
makes the module easier to carry in a pocket and attach to a KeyChain. New
dimensions are: 1.75" x 2.35" x 0.75" (45mm x 60mm x 19mm).

o RETAIL PRICE OF $99.95. The retail price of FireWire KeyChain has been
set at $99.95. This low price point will allow users to configure very
powerful, nonvolatile portable FireWire storage using inexpensive,
commodity CompactFlash storage modules. CompactFlash modules are readily
available in many different capacities up to 1GB, and prices for these
tough, powerful storage modules are quickly falling. As a result, the
storage value for users of FireWire KeyChain is excellent.

o MARCH AVAILABILITY. FireWire KeyChain is expected to commence customer
deliveries before the end of March.

In the U.S. and Canada, FireWire KeyChain may be purchased from dealers.
FireWire KeyChain is also available directly from http://wiebetech.com.
Inquiries are invited from qualified dealers and international
distributors. End user orders are accepted on the website. For current
shipping status, always check the website. Dealers and distributors are
encouraged to submit an Authorized Reseller Program (ARP) application which
is available for download from the website.
