Brand new to the market! Protecting documents by WIBU-KEY Supplying Shield

Karlsruhe, 02-01-2001. WIBU-SYSTEMS, one of the worldwide leading
manufacturers in the copy protection and license management for software
industry, establishes a brand-new market with the WIBU-KEY Supplying
Shield, a completely unique system for protecting documents.

WIBU-SYSTEMS presents the WIBU-KEY Supplying Shield at CeBIT 2001 in hall
13 E 66 for the first time. Its introduction on the market provides new
dimensions to the areas of encryption and copy protection of HTML
documents. This protection can be recommended for documents or
subscryption-based business models such as law data files, service manuals,
tax tips or confidential information, which are transferred mostly via
CD-ROM or Internet at the time. WIBU-SYSTEMS has an obvious interest in
their protection. The result of this interest is the new document
protection system called the WIBU-KEY Supplying Shield.

With WIBU-KEY Supplying Shield, all HTML documents, including text,
graphics, sounds and Java Scripts, can be encrypted. The protected data can
then be delivered to the customer via CD-ROM, DVD or downloaded from a FTP
server. With the help of the complete encryption per Rijndael, the most
modern algorithm worldwide, it is impossible that unauthorized persons can
read the content of the document. The authorized customer simply loads the
data from the CD-ROM or other delivery source. A connected WIBU-BOX
hardware key decrypts the data, which is then displayed in Internet
Explorer (locally) for an authorized user. The critical data is not ever
saved on the hard disk and is not sent around the world via Internet.

With WIBU-KEY Supplying Shield, you can divide a document into several
differently encrypted access classes. Each access class requires an
individual encryption key. When the user has the appropriate key, he can
easily access the information of this class, while the rest of the classes
remain encrypted. A class may also be unprotected; start pages or order
forms can be integrated in an unencrypted form for all to see within the
context of an encrypted document. Using Master Entries you can protect up
to 190 different access classes in a single WIBU-BOX.

Interested software developers can order a WIBU-KEY Protection Kit with all
hardware varieties for testing. Request the WIBU-KEY Protection Kit by
phone +49 721 93172-0, fax +49 721 93172-22, or by email info@wibu.com.
