Vvidget Code 9.3: Graph Programming For Web And Desktop Applications Made Easy
April 6, 2004

VVI today announced the release of Vvidget Code version 9.3 to
customers. With unparalleled ease of use for both desktop and web
application programming it is the fastest and most reliable and
versatile way to convert data to graphs for presentation.

"Our customers have demonstrated that Vvidget Code is powerful enough
to be used by Fortune 500 corporations, reliable enough to be used by
financial service companies, easy enough to be used by high school
students and cost effective enough to be used by academic university
researchers and laboratories", said John Brilhart, Chief Technical
Officer of VVI. "Its goal-oriented design converts data to graphs
without fuss for both programmable web and desktop applications. Most
of the graph attributes can be specified in templates using a
powerful layout tool, so programmers don't have to deal with the
myriad of calls to setup a graph. Substantial end user functionality
is included by being able to export any graph made with Vvidget Code
to a robust layout application for print-quality layout, reformatting
and inclusion in a wide range of other uses such as Power Point
presentations and academic journals, all without additional
programming."

Based on customer feedback, version 9.3 focuses on increasing the
functionality and usability of Vvidget Code. Those improvements
include:

- Substantially more reference detail explaining how to integrate
graphs into desktop applications and how third-party applications
interact with the Vvidget Code system. The reference manual gives
many more examples and entries into programming and details all the
options available for each graph type. The documentation is also
driven by Vvidget Code's web application service interface so it
shows many examples of making graphs dynamically for web applications.

- Web application options that includes data sources from CGI
scripts, flat files and form entry as well as programmability from
other application services like ASP, WebObjects, PHP, etc.

- More export features in the layout application so users of
applications based on Vvidget Code can take immediate advantage of
many hard to obtain advanced features.
