Virtually Limitless Data Exchange and Support for New FileMaker
Pro 6
Highlighted At Annual Developer Conference

Recent launch of FileMaker Pro 6 spotlights ability to better
gather, manage and share information through use of standards,
including XML

Palm Desert, CA - Aug.12, 2002 - Under the theme of
"Information, Integration and Innovation", FileMaker, Inc,
today officially opened its annual Developer's Conference held this
year at the Desert Springs Marriott resort in Palm Desert,
California.

During the three-day conference, which draws corporate and
independent database developers from around the world, attendees will
explore how the recently released FileMaker Pro 6 integrates with a
virtually limitless world of applications and data.  With
integrated XML (Extensible Markup Language), import and export,
FileMaker Pro can now integrate and exchange data with many
applications, without complex, costly conversion of data between
proprietary formats.

The conference will feature hands-on technical labs, a product
showcase, an overview of developer tools, pre-conference seminars and
more than 50 sessions on topics such as building solutions taking
advantage of standards (XML, web services, SQL, JDBC), business
applications and technical solutions.

Experts and Technical Sessions
Among the many experts and solutions, developers speaking at the
conference will be keynote speaker Ron Schmelzer, founder and senior
analyst of ZapThink and a well-known authority in the field of XML and
XML-based standards and initiatives. Schmelzer was recently named by
Boston Magazine to the "Internet Top 40." Additional
speakers will include FileMaker President Dominique Goupil; FileMaker
executives Bill Epling, chief financial officer; Chung Le, vice
president of product development and Chris Trytten, director of
product management.

A partial listing of this year's technical sessions include: Creating
XSL style sheets with FileMaker Pro; Constructing a FileMaker Security
& Privilege Management System; CDML vs. XML; FileMaker Pro: Web
Services Client; Synchronizing FileMaker and SQL Server Database
Systems Using ODBC; Managing Web Content with FileMaker and
DreamWeaver; Integrating FileMaker Pro with Enterprise Systems Using
XML; Mobile Data for Multi-User Databases; FileMaker Pro as a Business
Management Tool; FileMaker Pro and Microsoft.NET Technology Overview;
Citrix and Terminal Services Deployment with FileMaker Pro. For full
