ALADDIN SYSTEMS SHIPS STUFFIT 7.0.3 MACINTOSH--
COMPRESSION SOFTWARE PROVIDES NEW FEATURES IN A FREE UPDATE

New Macintosh Release Provides Improved Access To
TAR Archives, RAR 3.0 Archives, And Better Compression

Watsonville, CA- April 9, 2003 - Aladdin Systems, Inc., an Aladdin Systems
Holdings, Inc. company (OTC BB: ALHI), today shipped StuffIt Deluxe(r)
7.0.3 and StuffIt Standard Edition(tm) 7.0.3, the newest Macintosh versions
of the industry-standard access and compression utilities. The 7.0.3
release improves support for Mac OS X's UNIX environment by adding the
ability to browse Tape Archives (.Tar), Bzip2, and Gzip. The update
provides support for RAR 3.0, adds an improved "Expert Mode" dialog for
compression settings, and fixes a number of bugs. StuffIt Deluxe 7.0.3 was
optimized to provide tighter compression of a wide range of file types.

"The release of StuffIt 7.0.3, with its support for browsing both
compressed and uncompressed Tape Archives, strengthens Aladdin's commitment
to Mac OS X and its powerful UNIX framework," said Matthew Covington,
product manager. "The addition of RAR 3.0 support also provides an even
greater level of compatibility for users switching to the Mac from Windows."

The new StuffIt X(tm) (.sitx) file format in version 7, integrates
compression with security and safety options to meet the requirements of
business and today's digital lifestyle. StuffIt X provides stronger
encryption (512 bit), improved compression (up to 30% over previous
formats), error-correction, archive sizes over two gigabytes, and support
for long file names. StuffIt Deluxe includes Microsoft Word integration for
fast access to the popular Stuff and Mail feature and an array of features
that help maximize disk space and make it easy to exchange files between
Mac, PC, Linux and UNIX computers.
