NEW RELEASE OF STUFFIT EXPANDER 6.0 FOR WINDOWS EXTENDS ALADDIN SYSTEMS'
LEADERSHIP IN CROSS-PLATFORM FILE COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY

StuffIt Expander 6.0 Provides Improved Expansion For PC Users To Virtually
Any Compressed Or Encoded File for Free

Watsonville, CA - May 15, 2001 - Aladdin Systems, Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of Aladdin Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: ALHI), today
announced the release of StuffIt(tm) Expander 6.0 for Windows 98, ME, NT
and 2000. StuffIt Expander is a FREE file decompression utility that

the only utility that allows users to decompress the popular compression
formats on Windows, LINUX, UNIX, and Macintosh systems. In addition to
previously supported formats, StuffIt Expander 6.0 adds support for .Bzip
and an international favorite, .lha compressed archives, firmly
establishing it as the most powerful and easy to use file decompression
utility available on the market today.

"Every day we receive files from customers in a myriad of formats created
on many different platforms and StuffIt Expander has never failed to
decompress a file," said Linda Archer, of Jaguar Design Studio. Whether
users are seeking to send files to users on different operating systems, or
different continents, StuffIt Expander offers a range of features designed
to make the file transfer process as seamless and efficient as possible.

application. StuffIt's cross platform features also include a text
conversion setting that can correctly format an expanded text document for
use on PC, UNIX, LINUX or Macintosh based systems.

"A free decompression utility on every platform is a key part of our
strategy to make StuffIt the complete compression solution," said Matthew
Covington, StuffIt Windows product manager. "Following our recent release
of StuffIt Solaris and LINUX utilities, StuffIt Expander 6.0 firmly
establishes Aladdin as a leader in cross platform compression technology."
