StuffIt Deluxe(tm) 6.5, the industry-standard access and compression
utility for the Macintosh. StuffIt Deluxe 6.5 includes new StuffIt
Express(tm) Personal Edition (also sold separately), allowing users to
create customized drop box applications that can be configured to automate
their file compression and transfer tasks. Version 6.5 also offers Magic
Menu support for Mac OS X, smart expansion of Palm OS files, and
DropTar(tm) (a drop box compression utility for Unix).

* Magic Menu for Mac OS X
StuffIt Deluxe boosts its support for Mac OS X with a new version of Magic
Menu. Located in the Finder, Magic Menu provides users with quick and easy
access to StuffIt's most popular features. As an added bonus, Magic Menu
for Mac OS X gives users the ability to get info on multiple files or
folders simultaneously.

*Support for Palm OS downloads
StuffIt Deluxe now delivers Palm files to a designated Palm folder for the
next HotSync upload with a user's PDA handheld.

* DropTar compression utility for Unix
With the popularity of the Unix platform, StuffIt Deluxe now includes
DropTar, coupling drag-and-drop TAR (.tar) archiving with compression.

Pricing and Availability
StuffIt Deluxe has a street price of $79.95 (US) and is available directly
from Aladdin, all major retailers, and mail order catalogs in the US,
Canada, and worldwide.

Registered owners of any previous version of StuffIt Deluxe, DropStuff, and
DropZip can upgrade to StuffIt Deluxe 6.5 for $19.95, directly from Aladdin
at

January 31, 2002. Retail, catalog and online dealers are offering $60
mail-in upgrade rebates and $25 new-user rebates.

If customers purchased StuffIt Deluxe 6.0 after August 19, 2001 and have a
proof of purchase, they are entitled to a free downloadable upgrade to
StuffIt Deluxe 6.5.
