SQLBoss Developer goes into the final stages. The final preview release
V1.0 61PR2 is now available for download at http://www.sqlboss.com.
Registered user may download it via the members area. Users which have not
chosen a password may use "SQLBoss" instead.

SQLBoss Developer comes now with 6 different Database plugins. (Frontbase,
SQLBoss Local Database, mySQL, ODBC, openBase and postgreSQL). The trial
period has been extended to 20 minutes. See the Version changes for more
info.

The following serial number is valid for 30 days.

Final release announced for end of October 2001. The Software will be
available for 10 Databases and includes the SQLBoss Backup Server.

* Excel like navigation and automatic saving of list records
* New Open and New Dialog
* Online tip help for buttons
* Root work for SQLBoss Layouter the revolutionary SQL file and
database maker (expect to go in preview release later this year)
* rentAbase improvements on the server side for better interaction
with plug and play modules for SQLBoss program series (HOT for ASPs)
* Fixed problems with the LIKE statement. Now supported by all databases
* Implemented more SQL92 standard by all available databases
* Fixed problems with relational queries
* SQLBoss MLE installed (Multiple Language Engine)
* Office Automation core installed
* 20 minutes Trial instead of 10 minutes
Expect a lot of Word & Excel features like Mailing lists, data
calculation, etc.
* Saving and retrieving of queries. Will now work no matter what the
data looks like. User data can now have all forbidden SQL & Export
characters like (","; "CARRIGE RETURN"; "LINE FEED"; "TAB"; and so on...
* Revised code engine for the new sister product PHPBoss to be
announced later this year.
* And as usual lots of fixes under the hud

Known issues:
Timestamp is not working if set other then timestamp(14) - only mySQL
Manual will be ready by release date at the beginning of October
Sizing of columns still not perfect
ODBC & OpenBase port problems if other than default
User interface can show but not store relational databases records. Only
storing by individual tables possible. This feature will not be supported
by SQLBoss Developer only by SQLBoss Layouter.

mySQL is at that stage the best implemented database by SQLBoss. It
includes mySQL special features in addition to the SQL92 standard.
Frontbase has some database specific features as well.
ALL OTHER DATABASES SUPPORT ONLY THE SQL92 STANDARD NORM FOR RETRIEVING DATA
Over the next months we want to get most databases to their individual
standards
