ShuttlePRO Multimedia Controller

"Contour Design Introduces ShuttlePRO(TM) Multimedia Controller"

MacWorld, Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco, CA, January 9, 2001
Contour Design, Inc. introduces its innovative ShuttlePRO(TM) Multimedia
Controller for video and audio editing. (MW Booth # 1549)

Contour has targeted the ShuttlePro(TM) Multimedia Controller at
professional video editors as well as first time users. While professional
video editors often use expensive variations of Jog & Shuttle Controllers
($300 & Up) to support the process of creating movies with raw footage,
there has been no affordable -- yet professional functional -- similar
device for the small studio or home application.

The ShuttlePRO MultiMedia Controller makes editing videos a breeze. The
Contour ShuttlePRO is a USB device and its associated high-productivity
software is for Macs only. The ShuttlePRO controller provides the
professional level of quality and productivity enhancing features formerly
found in only expensive editing devices.

Contours advanced driver allows application specific programmability of
its thirteen (13) buttons and the jog and shuttle knob. The knob and
buttons are all ergonomically placed on the ShuttlePRO. The user has
one-hand access to a multitude of functions and operational shortcuts. The
shuttle knob is the outer ring that facilitates fast forward and rewind
for quick, non-linear, access of digital frames. The jog is the internal
portion of the knob which provides precise frame by frame control.

According to Jay Beaudoin, Editor, The Troupe(TM), "The ShuttlePRO by
Contour Design brings the feel and function of an analog edit controller to
the desktop." "The jog and shuttle controls are fluid and precise, and the
programmable buttons really speed up common tasks like marking in and out
points, and timeline navigation."

Not only will users who perform video and other multimedia editing benefit
from the advanced functionality of the ShuttlePRO, users of software
applications that support multiple key combinations (e.g., Apples Final
Cut Pro(TM), Photoshop(TM), After Effects(TM), and Premiere(TM) from Adobe,
and Macromedias Director(TM)), will realize enhanced productivity with the
ShuttlePROs programmable keys.

The ShuttlePRO exemplifies Contours design and engineering expertise.
Says James Golden, VP, Contour Design, Inc. We are especially proud of
this products cost-effective performance that will enhance the video
editing experience and productivity of any user.

Contour Design will be demonstrating the ShuttlePRO in booth #1549 at
MacWorld from January 9th through 12th, 2001, and it will be available for
sale in limited quantity on the show floor. The Contour ShuttlePRO will be
shipping in volume in mid-Q1/01.

The Contour ShuttlePRO MultiMedia control center will retail at an MSRP of
$99.95, making it the most cost-effective such device on the market. It is
