BOSTON -- APRIL 16, 2007 -- At the annual OnDemand/AIIM conference, SeeFile Software LLC (booth #543) is announcing that the newest version of its web-based creative collaboration tool, which allows drag-and-drop uploads and web proofing, is now compatible with EnFocus server workflow products, PitStop Server 4, and Automate 1. SeeFile allows the individual print production or creative group to harness the power of the web in realtime, so that clients and collaborators can upload and process PDFs and other graphics files through an intuitive Web-based interface.

Unlike hosted providers, SeeFile permits large media files simply to be saved to the local hard disk of a workflow server - the software then automatically creates the thumbnails and watermarked previews, and displays them in a simple web browser interface. These files and folders can be remotely accessed from anywhere on the Internet via standard browsers like Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. SeeFile 3.0 also introduces a range of advanced functions like side-by-side image comparisons, onscreen annotations, and color-coded collections for each user.

By combining SeeFile's transparent Web interface with EnFocus industry-leading automation tools, users can reap many of the productivity benefits of high end systems such as Creo's Synapse and Xinet's WebNative, at a fraction of the cost. SeeFile's products can be run on any OSX Macintosh, and Apple's recent introduction of an 8-core configuration of its MacPro tower system. This means that very high performance workflows can be deployed at modest cost, with a seamless Web interface using the combination of EnFocus and SeeFile software.

"We're excited about the opportunities that this combination of tools can provide in the print-on-demand and prepress markets," said Sam Bogoch, CEO of SeeFile. "The combination of remote access for clients and freelancers to send files and view proofs, and a powerful PDF workflow on the server, means that nearly every shop can create their own powerful engine for fulfilling larger amounts of higher quality print work."

User Quote

One user of the software, Igor Perchuk, president of Image Source Productions, has been able to replace both clumsy FTP transfers and limited email attachments with SeeFile. "My customers are able to review and download proofs if I allow them to, upload their own graphical files to the same folders, and communicate approvals with a click. It's a phenomenal way to handle a range of client communication issues that in the past, have really limited small graphics firms like mine. I've been looking for something like this for years."

Free Upgrades Available

SeeFile 3.0 is a free release for owners of earlier versions of the software with an annual upgrade contract, in keeping with the company's "no-surprise" policy.
