Seapine Software Announces Surround SCM 3.1 =96 Image Thumbnail Support and
CVS Conversion Utility Headline New Release

Mason, Ohio -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- February 15, 2005 -- Seapine Software,
Inc., a leading provider of adaptable application lifecycle management
(AALM) solutions, announced today the immediate availability of Surround
SCM 3.1 for software change management (SCM). Version 3.1 of Seapine's
cross-platform SCM solution, with versions available for Windows, Linux,
Mac OS X, and Solaris, includes news features to work with image files, a
CVS conversion utility, and numerous security and usability enhancements.

Surround SCM 3.1 includes a number of new features to address the unique
change management needs of graphic artists and software developers who work
with image files. Users can now easily switch between the traditional text
listing of source files and a thumbnail view that lets them visually
identify image files. They can also view the full size image file from
within Surround SCM, eliminating the need to open a separate application.
Surround SCM's built-in image differencing (diff) utility lets users view
two versions of an image file simultaneously to determine what changed
between versions. It can also overlay two images to show users what changed
at the pixel level. Support for 25 common image formats is included in this
release.

"Surround SCM's new image management features are an exciting addition that
will benefit all our customers," said Richard Riccetti, president of
Seapine Software. "Most software applications have images files that
require the same change management process as source code. Game and Web
development in particular are graphics-intense. Identifying these files
visually in the source control system and performing visual diffs on them
are real time savers. Once you work with image files from within Surround
SCM 3.1, it is hard to go back to the old way of working with them by
filename."'

In addition, Surround SCM 3.1 includes a conversion utility that enables
CVS users, the most popular open-source version control tool, to easily
convert their CVS archives to Surround SCM databases. The conversion
utility migrates CVS repositories, projects, files, file history, tags,
users, and user security groups into Surround SCM -- maintaining the
directory structure and historic data. Rounding out the new release,
Surround SCM 3.1 enhancements include advanced searching options,
additional file reporting, post-event triggers, and more.

Availability and Pricing
Surround SCM 3.1 is available immediately. Pricing for Surround SCM begins
at $595.00 for a Named license; Floating license pricing is also available.
