Runtime Revolution 2.1 Premieres at MacWorld Creative Pro NY
New Editions, New Features, and Revolutionary Special Offers

Edinburgh, Scotland, July 16th 2003

Runtime Revolution today announced Revolution 2.1, the latest update to its
user-centric, multi-platform software development environment. Revolution
developers can look forward to new capabilities and new features. There are
three new editions to choose from - including the entry-level Revolution
Express - and a limited-time 50% discount.

Revolution 2.1, now in beta test, contains dozens of improvements that make
building full-featured applications for every platform easier than ever
before. OS X developers will benefit from the addition of "metal"
appearance, drawers, and other improvements to make their applications even
more Aqua-friendly. New improvements to the Unicode architecture make
Revolution an even stronger tool for creating international applications
for Asian markets. Building database front ends is simpler than ever
before, with full access to MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Valentina - as well as
ODBC - now built in to every edition of Revolution.

"The development of Revolution 2.1 and the changes to our product lineup
are a direct result of our recent acquisition of MetaCard Corporation, our
long-time partner in Revolution," said Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime
Revolution. "We've listened to our users and the marketplace, and we're
focused on making Revolution the user-centric multi-platform tool for
developers at all levels. It's now more affordable for the hobbyist and
beginner, and the perfect solution for professionals and enterprise
customers. Join the Revolution today!"

New Editions
------------------

All editions of Revolution are powerful, fast, and easy to use, offering
advanced features like Internet protocols, SQL database access, multimedia,
and more. Developers can choose from three editions of Revolution:
Revolution Express, Revolution Studio, or Revolution Enterprise.

perfect place to start. With all the features needed to create applications
for the platform of your choice, Revolution Express makes software
development affordable with a limited-time introductory price of $75 (50%
off the retail price of $149).

Revolution Studio: For developers seeking a productive multi-platform
development solution, Revolution Studio offers all the features of
Revolution Express, plus the ability to develop native, user-interface
compliant applications for every major platform - OS X, classic Mac OS,
Windows, Linux, and more - all from a single code base. Priced at just $199
(50% off the retail price of $399) Revolution Studio is the cost-effective
choice for the professional developer.

Revolution Enterprise: For professional and enterprise-level developers,
Revolution Enterprise includes all the features of Express and Studio, plus
the ability to develop on any or all of Revolution's supported platforms,
Oracle database access, and special Enterprise features. Developers seeking
to deliver software with features ahead of the marketplace will benefit
from access to the latest features in alpha and beta releases of
Revolution. Revolution Enterprise also includes these exclusive benefits:
- In-depth technical support package
