Runtime Announces Revolution Media, Revolution 2.7 Released

New Product Features Enhanced Graphics Engine, Interactive Media Projects

February 14, 2006. Edinburgh, Scotland. Runtime Revolution Ltd, the leader
in multi-platform rich media and application development tools, announces
the release of Revolution 2.7 and a new product, Revolution Media.

The Revolution 2.7 update is available for the entire product line,
including Revolution Dreamcard, Revolution Studio ($299) and Revolution
Enterprise ($899). Revolution Studio and higher can compile applications
for the following platforms: Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Linux, Solaris
and other Unix platforms.

The new features of Revolution 2.7 include:

* New object blending capabilities. All objects, including standard system
controls such as buttons and fields, as well as media elements such as
QuickTime movies, can now be rendered using a rich variety of blend modes
and opacity settings.

* Over 20 brand new blend modes. Includes the industry standard porter-duff
and SVG compositing operators.

* Window level transitions. Now you can perform transitions with alpha
channels on an entire window, allowing effects such as rippling
applications on the desktop.

* New image rendering options. Render an image from any object on-screen,
preserving the alpha channel, then transform and save.

* Anti-aliasing Graphics Engine. Revolution's vector graphics presentation
layer is now anti-aliased.

* Multi-monitor Support. Revolution solutions can now be built to support
multiple monitors, including different backdrops on each monitor.

* Enhanced QuickTime performance. Allows smoother playback and the ability
to move movies live during playback.

* Enhanced dynamic scripting. Preserves state across recompilation,
allowing for faster debugging.

* New Installer with Roll-Back capability. Roll-Back allows you to install
newer versions of Revolution as they become available, and go back to any
previously installed version.

* Improved printing. Quality has been improved when printing complex
documents containing text and certain types of image.

* All new documentation including brand new PDF User's Guide, rewritten to
describe the entire product - complete with many new examples.

* Bug fixes and minor enhancements.

For a limited time, Revolution Studio and higher (including upgrades) will
also include D&M Constellation 2.x high performance project editor at no
added cost (regularly $49). Constellation's advanced interface allows "one
window" editing of almost any aspect of a Revolution project. Learn more
about Revolution Studio at revstudio.runrev.com.

Runtime Revolution also announced Revolution Media. Revolution Media is an
easy-to-use, rich media development tool based on the Revolution 2.7
release. Its shared heritage with Revolution means no previous programming
experience is necessary to get started. Media allows users to create
solutions on a single platform (Windows or Mac OS X) and deploy on the same
operating system utilizing Revolution Player. Projects are rendered against
a backdrop. Ready-to-Use projects include portfolio builder, kiosk,
adventure game maker and more. Learn more about Revolution Media
revmedia.runrev.com. Revolution Media will ship before the end of February.

"W've received extensive feedback from 2D and 3D graphics artists who want
to get into interactive media but are overwhelmed with the complexity of
products like Flash, or the unintuitive learning curve of a traditional
language like BASIC," said Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime Revolution, Ltd.
"Media is Revolution the way you think, not forcing you to ramp up on
techniques you wouldn't otherwise want to learn."

Upgrades cost $66, (Dreamcard - for a limited time only), $199 (Studio),
and $499 (Enterprise) and are immediately available from the Runtime
Revolution Store at http://www.runrev.com.
