Review: iSkin Claro a great iPod classic case
It has a polycarbonate hard case combined a soft inner layer to protect the device against shock and moisture. The case's polycarbonate layer is specially treated with an optical resin that resists scratches from everyday use. Its silicon layer encapsulates the iPod and suspends it within the polycarbonate layer for protection. I've used the Claro for days now, and have found it to offer the best protection of any iPod case I've ever used (and I've tried A LOT).
What's more, the Claro design also features a belt clip with an integrated kick-stand. The kickstand extends allowing the iPod to recline at an angle for easy viewing. When not in use, the kickstand recesses and the clip functions keep you and your iPod connected.
You can give the Claro new looks with the addition of Slims. Slims are Claro inner silicone layers that are available in two 3-Packs: The Cruise Pack and the Chill Pack (each now being offered for US$19.99; normally they're $24.99). Claro Slims can also be used alone for light-weight protection. They're nice if you like that sort of thing; I'm happy using my Claro without them.
At US$39.99, the Claro is a great investment for an iPod classic owner. It's rugged, provides great protection, offers easy access to the iPod functions and doesn't hide the looks of the Apple device. What more can you ask for?
