Review: Drop Point: Alaska game not extreme enough
In Drop Point: Alaska you're dropped from a helicopter (a pretty cool effect) in Alaska, where you snowboard down mountains, seeing how fast and agile you can move. Along the way you pick up tricks points via drop-offs, ramps, etc. If you can do the stunt with a certain level of finesse, you "own" the trick.
Unfortunately, finding the trick points is unnecessarily complicated. It takes a long time (at least in gaming time) to find them, so often you're snowboarding aimlessly as you try to find them. And there are stills when you may simply come to a standstill on a flat area and have to start your descent again. This makes the game feel a little slow, though when new drop points open up and you do find the trick points, it's a lot of fun.
Drop Point: Alaska is fun at first, but loses its luster pretty quickly. Which is not a good thing in an extreme sports game.
