QuarkXPress 7 'Best Creative Software'

LONDON - August 3, 2006 - Quark Inc. today announced that QuarkXPress
7 - the leading page layout software for design, production, and
collaboration - received the award for "Best Creative Software" at
the Macworld Awards 2006 event. Macworld UK named the winners of its
prestigious Macworld Awards at a ceremony held at the Royal Courts of
Justice in London.

Winners came from an extensive and varied list Macworld UK editors
compiled during a year of fast-paced change in the Macintosh computer
industry. This award is the third that QuarkXPress 7 has received
since its May 23, 2006, release. The product was recently awarded
"Best of Show" by the Macwelt editors at the MacExpo exhibition in
Cologne, Germany, and it received an "Editors' Choice Award" from
Macworld UK in a recent review.

Quark released a public beta version of QuarkXPress 7 in January
2006.Early and continued feedback from the media has been extremely
positive, and Macworld UK was one of the first magazines to produce a
comprehensive review of the beta software.

Macworld UK editors wrote: "In terms of practical design production,
QuarkXPress 7 is second to none. With this new release, QuarkXPress
can stand up for itself as a compelling purchase for new users as
well as a valuable upgrade for existing users who can move
confidently to version 7."

"We're naturally delighted that the hard work we've put into this
innovative new version of QuarkXPress is being recognised by the
industry," said Gavin Drake, Quark European marketing director.
"Macworld's editorial opinion is valued and recognised around the
world in supporting our customers' buying decisions. However, just as
important, early adopters of the new version are providing equally
positive feedback on how QuarkXPress is enhancing the way they work."

For more information about QuarkXPress 7, visit the Quark Web site at
http://www.quark.com/en/seven. QuarkXPress 7 is available for
purchase now with a suggested retail price of $749* for upgrades from
any previous version and $749* for new products.
