MICRONET ROLLS OUT PLATINUMNAS 3.0 WITH BEST-IN-CLASS CAPACITY FOR
SMB CUSTOMERS

3 Terabyte NAS Server Combines Performance & Availability for Data
Intensive SMB Applications

TORRANCE, CA -- August 15, 2006 --MicroNet Technology, an innovator
in disk-based storage solutions, today announced the PlatinumNAS 3.0,
providing the highest capacity in its class with 3 terabytes of
network storage capacity for Small and Medium Sized Business
customers.

The PlatinumNAS 3.0 is a compact, high-performance network storage
solution that combines the latest SATA drive technology and
high-availability hardware architecture with plug-and-play simplicity
for data-intensive SMB applications. MicroNet's latest NAS solution
is smaller and lighter than competitive products and provides 50
percent higher capacity while consuming 35 percent less energy.

"SMB customers face the same storage challenges as larger users with
fast-growing capacity requirements but they also require storage
solutions that are simple to deploy, manage and maintain," said Hamid
Khorsandi, VP, Marketing at MicroNet. "The PlatinumNAS 3.0 meets all
of those requirements for SMBs with 3 terabytes of capacity and a
plug-and-play design that customers can rapidly move from box to
online."

MicroNet's PlatinumNAS 3.0 incorporates four hot-swappable
750-gigabyte SATA drives to deliver a 50 percent capacity boost
compared to competitive products. PlatinumNAS 3.0 eliminates the
complexities of daisy-chaining drive cables, allowing for simple,
fault tolerant storage for small and medium businesses. When used in
a RAID 5 configuration, all data remains accessible even in the event
of a disk failure, which can then be replaced and rebuilt without any
service interruption.

To provide maximum flexibility, PlatinumNAS 3.0 is equipped with
dual-channel gigabit Ethernet connectivity, allowing multiple
sub-networks and workgroups to access the server without impact to
data throughput. The unit is powered by an Intel XScale 64-bit
network storage processor, four discrete SATA 2+NCQ disk channels,
256 MB of write-back/write-through error correcting cache memory,
assuring best-in-class performance. Multiple simultaneous network
services including SMB/CIFS, FTP, webdisk, and Appleshare assure
functionality and compatibility across Windows, UNIX and Apple
platforms.

MicroNet Platinum products are available from authorized VARs,
catalog resellers, and are distributed through Ingram Micro.
MicroNet's PlatinumNAS 3.0 is available immediately with a MSRP of
$3,700.
