PDF2Office Professional v3.1

PDF2Office Professional v3.1

Osaka, Japan, July 13, 2006 - Recosoft Corporation the developer of cross
platform Macintosh and Windows file format conversion solutions and PDF
document conversion tools has released PDF2Office Professional v3.1 for Mac
OS X.

PDF2Office Professional v3.1 marks Recosoft's first step in delivering a
complete Universal Binary version of PDF2Office Professional for the
Macintosh platform. PDF2Office Services, which enhances integration of
PDF2Office Professional with Mac OS X is now a Universal Binary delivering
native performance on Macintosh computers equipped with the Intel processor.

PDF2Office recreates the original construction and layout of the document -
forming paragraphs; applying styles; regrouping independent graphic
elements; extracting images; creating tables; and processing
headers/footers, endnotes/footnotes and columns/sections, all automatically
- without any manual intervention

PDF2Office enables you to recover the data stored in PDF documents - making
them available for use by anyone. Since PDF2Office is a standalone product,
it is not necessary to acquire and install additional PDF editing software
and tools resulting in huge cost savings in both time and expense.

Key New Enhancements and Changes

* Partial Universal Binary
Parts of PDF2Office Professional are now a Universal Binary. When
PDF2Office Services is used, text extraction from PDF files executes at
native speed on Macintosh computers equipped with the Intel processor.

* Modern Mac OS X Mach-O architecture
The entire back-end of PDF2Office Professional that performs the PDF to
Office formats conversions has been migrated to the modern Mac OS X Mach-O
architecture.

* PDF Reconstruction v3.1 engine
The latest PDF Reconstruction v3.1 engine offers improved conversions to
Word, RTF, AppleWorks and PowerPoint formats. All paths in PDF files are
now converted to their equivalent in Word, RTF and PowerPoint resulting in
crisp and clear anti-aliased curves. Improved support for various image
color spaces and enhancements have also been made to the layout
reconstruction process.

* Font Substitution panel
A new font substitution panel has been introduced in PDF2Office allowing
substitution fonts to be specified per file.

* Symbol encoding substitution
Font substitution can now be specified for Symbol based encoding.

All customers who own a full licensed copy of PDF2Office Professional v3.0
are entitled to a free upgrade to PDF2Office Professional v3.1 available
