PDF2Office Personal v3.0 for Mac OS X

Osaka, Japan, August 17, 2006 - Recosoft Corporation the developer of
cross platform Macintosh and Windows file format conversion solutions
and PDF document conversion tools announces PDF2Office Personal v3.0
for Mac OS X.

The company will be shipping PDF2Office Personal v3.0 for the
Macintosh platform in September 2006. PDF2Office Personal v3.0 is a
major upgrade to PDF2Office Personal v2.0 for Mac OS X - the PDF to
Word conversion plug-in.

PDF2Office Personal v3.0 sports over 250+ new features and
enhancements and is based on a new technology infrastructure in
converting PDF files to Microsoft Word X/2004 formats. PDF2Office
Personal v3.0 utilizes modern client-server technology providing
enhanced stability and operational capabilities. Additionally,
PDF2Office Personal v3.0 will be shipping as a Universal Binary
providing native PDF to Word conversions on Macintosh's with the
Intel processor.

PDF2Office recreates the original construction and layout of the
document - forming paragraphs; applying styles; regrouping
independent graphic elements; extracting images; creating tables; and
processing headers/footers, endnotes/footnotes and columns/sections,
all automatically - without any manual intervention

PDF2Office enables you to recover the data stored in PDF documents -
making them available for use by anyone. Since PDF2Office is a
plug-in for Microsoft Word, it is not necessary to acquire and
install additional PDF editing software and tools resulting in huge
cost savings in both time and expense.

Key New Features

* Universal Binary
PDF2Office Personal v3.0 is a Universal Binary. Even though Word
X/2004 runs emulated on Intel based Macintosh computers, PDF to Word
format conversions execute at native speeds.

* PDF2Office Server
PDF2Office Personal is now based on a client-server architecture.
PDF2Office Server performs the PDF to Word conversion and returns the
result back to Microsoft Word; insulating Microsoft Word from the
conversion process.

* Static Form editing capability
PDF2Office Personal optimally converts static forms into formatted
Word documents for easy form entry.

* Font Matching, Substitution and Auto-Sizing
A new font matching, substitution and scaling mechanism has been
introduced. The fonts in the PDF document are matched against fonts
present in the system and if a match cannot be found, the font can be
substituted with a default font and its size scaled to closely match
the layout characteristics of the original PDF document.

* PDF layout reconstruction v3.1 engine
Dramatic enhancements have been made in the areas of table
identification and reconstruction; graphics processing; PDF files
with complex layouts. Furthermore new options for hyphenation
processing, mathematical formula recognition, image type and
resolution have also been introduced.

* Password-Protected PDF documents
Password-protected PDF documents can now be converted (the password
must be provided)
