PDF Enhancer 2.6

Apago, Inc. is proud to announce the shipping of PDF Enhancer 2.6. This is
a free upgrade for users of PDF Enhancer 2.0 or 2.5. PDF Enhancer 1.x users
can upgrade for a small fee outlined below. Here's a run down of the new

New PDF Enhancer 2.6 features

Fonts
Version 2.6 of PDF Enhancer can now embed any fonts that are present on the
system and have appropriate digital rights. Embedded fonts insure document
fidelity regardless of the viewer's system configuration. The updated
software also includes significant improvements to TrueTypeFont subsetting.
Also, we have improved support for incorrectly defined fonts. For more

Bates and Page Numbering
PDF Enhancer can now apply Bates or Page numbering to PDF or set of PDF
documents. A new numbering dialog is accessible from the PDF Merger dialog
which allows control over the location, appearance and type of numbering.
With Bates number, a prefix can be specified. Bates numbering is required
in some legal filings. For more details, see the Merging & Assembly page.

Color
The color capabilities of PDF Enhancer 2.6 have been improved in a number
of areas including special handling of /Separation /All and /None
colorspaces. A new option allows conversion of grayscale images to
monochrome (8-bit to 1-bit). This allows for the use of more effective
compression methods. We have also improved color conversion of smooth
shadings.

Optimizations
Many new optimization techniques have been incorporated for better file
size reduction without quality sacrifices. We've added support for removing
edit data from more 3rd party PDF tools. We now automatically reduce of
bitdepth of grayscale images to reduce file size further. Also we fixed
several image compression/enhancement issues. For more details, see the

Windows COM support
PDF Enhancer 2.6 Windows Server products have a new COM automation
interface. Contact Sales@apago.com for more information and a trial version.

Bug fixes
We are always trying to improve our products and have fixed many
outstanding issues.
